Holmes 64 Pendleton County 53
I know why Pittman did not play, why didn't Avery play?
-
Seneca 83 Boone County 66
You know that, the players know that but the coach may not know that.
-
Newport 60 Highlands 38
Who would be ranked in front of them other than Holmes and maybe Boone Co.?
-
Gallatin County 60 Larue County 59
Where is Shawe from?
-
Newport 60 Highlands 38
With Newport beating Highlands won't this win rank Newport as the #2 team in NKY or maybe #3?

Eastern 77 George Rogers Clark 70
I've said it all along, missing a true point guard. All of the top teams have to have a good point guard.

Refs call a bad game again!
If your son is a freshman, you've got a long four years ahead of you.

Trinity 66 Chaparral 55
Sewell had an off night, something like 3/17 from the field. Seniors Eply and Corbett stepped up and carried the team. Great leadership by both players. Good Job Trinity. Good luck in the upcoming games.

Trinity vs Chaparral updates
I thought Trinity was up 30 to 21 at half time? Could it be Trinity 34 Chaparal 27?
-
Trinity 77 Waggener 66
I believe Trinity is better off with Corbett at the helm. Harrison had the tendency to dribble the leather off the ball and take too many ill-advised shots. He was a very good basketball player and has a ton of potential, but his lack of experience showed last year.

Top 25 polls
No not a prep school, it is a public school in Gary, Indiana. Bowman Academy beat South Laurel 24 the night before they played Holmes.

East Carter 74 Elliott County 73
Ever hear of Irvin Stepp?

Shelby Valley 105 Logan, WV 91(Scrimmage)
Even if Justice does have an off night, Shelby Valley has enough to beat anyone in the 15th. Without any injuries, SV will win the 15th.

McCreary Central
You are being sarcastic aren't you? I agree that their schedule is tougher than usual but the "toughest in the entire state"? Almost every team in the 7th or 11th has a tougher schedule than McCreary. I commend Coach Jones for making his schedule tougher this year and trying to get some exposure for his players and hopefully preparing for the post season. Good luck to McCreary.

Former St Henry Player vs Duke
Great story, I have a lot of respect for kids that work and try that hard to achieve something they have their sights set on. Congratulations to Jordan!

Elliott County has low turnout
Before you blow a gasket WJH, read post #17 that CAMEL1 posted, that's what I was saying was so funny! I could care less about him being held back or transferring nor was I criticizing him and where did I say anything about him being held back for athletic reasons? Chill!
-
Elliott County has low turnout
Now that is funny! You are praising Knipp; he transferred from W. Carter to Elliott Co. and was held back. The two things you think are "crazy" he did both.
-
Elliott County has low turnout
Knipp is a very good player but I question "best player in the state"? They have a new coach this year Coach Mays retired. One of his assistants has taken over the head coaching job. However, this low turnout could be the reason they have so few playing this year. Not developing other players and giving them a chance to play is probably coming back to bite them this year. I agree!

9th Region Preseason Coaches Poll
Who got a better scholarship in NKY than McFarland? When I say best player in NKY last year, I should have said best 2009 player in that class, in NKY.
-
9th Region Preseason Coaches Poll
I disagree, this  is one of the most uninformed posts I've seen on here. Any player can go DIII or NAIA???? The best player in NKY (McFarland) last year went NAIA and a few went DIII. If any player can play NAIA, name how many has went NAIA or higher in the last 5 years? NAIA does give athletic scholarships. Also name one NAIA school or DIII for that matter that has 20 players on their roster.
-
9th Region Preseason Coaches Poll
Actually going DIII is harder for a kid that is NOT eligible for financial aid. Most kids attending DIII schools get financial aid and along with some academic scholarship money, it is very affordable for them to go and sometimes they don't have to pay anything at all. With the price of tuition at a DIII school you will find that over 85% of the kids attending them get financial aid.

Jody Demling's 2010 player rankings
How is he way under the radar if Louisville is looking at him and he has an upcoming visit scheduled? Louisville is about as high as it gets on the radar. Good luck to Vance, it would be great to see him in a Lou. Cardinal uniform.
