Both teams went at each other hard. SV owning the paint and Logan making a lot of 3's. In the end SV seemed to be in much better condition and pulled away in the end. The E. Justice and Noah Cotrill matchup was great. I had Cotrill unofficially with 43 and Justice with 37. Justice had two dunks and probably around 10 assist. If I can get some official stats I will add them. Great game to watch give both teams credit for great effort.

This was a very fun game to watch. Justice is very smooth with the ball in his hands, got to the rim with ease. It was a pleasure to watch Justice and Noah got at it, both of these kids are big time scorers and can get the ball to the open man when needed.

Defense?

Defense?

Not alot. The game was played with ten minute quarters. Shelby Valley had no answer for Cottrill and Logan had no answer for Justice. Shelby Valley had a clear advantage on the interior. Logan has a nice team, and they really rely on the three point shot. This was a very fun game to watch.

Did Cottrill guard Justice? I don't consider Cottrill a good defender.

At times, but not primarily. Cottrill couldn't stay in front of Justice and didn't really seem to buy in on the defensive end. Also, Justice guarded Cottrill on only a few possessions. SV tried to guard him with taller defenders, but that obviously didn't work given that he put up 43 points...

Shelby Valley won't make it out of the region this year. Shelby Valley is only good depending on how Justice shows up. He can't do it all and IMO doesn't have really good help around him no great shooter, ball handler, BIG man, etc. Mark my word!

SV doesn't have nearly the size they had last year, and I do think finding a secondary ball handler may be an issue, but to say Justice doesn't have good help around him is unfair to the other players. Ashley Hatfield is widely considered the 2nd best player in the region. Tyler Newsome, Taylor Newsome, and Cody Varney are all very solid contributors. The gap in the 15th has narrowed between SV and the rest of the field, but IF SV brings their A game then the 15th is theirs to lose...

Even if Justice does have an off night, Shelby Valley has enough to beat anyone in the 15th. Without any injuries, SV will win the 15th.

Its a great time....preseason and everybody has a chance.

Apparently you've never watched Shelby Valley or you'd have a different thought on that. Justice is the main player but he is most definitely not the only player. He has a ton of help on the team and Shelby Valley will roll through the 15th region.
