It is a win. What do you know about the Arizona team they just defeated other than Zeke Chapman not playing? I'd like to know more about them going into the next round.

They remind me a lot of the good Covcath teams from a few years ago. Not an overly impressive athletic team, but a team that plays fundamental basketball and can shoot the rock from outside.

 

They have 3 players averaging 9 ppg, one averaging 12, and one averaging 17, so they are also a very unselfish team with balance.

 

They aren't a very big team. The guards go 6'0, 6'1, 6'2 and their big man is 6'6.

 

Not having a kid like Zeke Chapman obviously hurts them though.

The upper bracket is no where near as competitive as that lower bracket. Eastern is the only team in the upper bracket (IMO) that could win this tournament.

 

Fairdale definetly set themselves up nicely.

I saw where James Quick, the phenomenal Frosh, got his first Varsity points in the 4th on a put back jumper and finished with 4 points. This is a kid to watch, he played on the Ville AAU team this past summer with Daryl Hicks (Shelby Co).

I wouldnt count out Knott County Central so fast. I have seen them play this season and they are a big physical team who shoots the ball well, should be a good game.

Yep, Quick is going to be a special player for the Rocks. Hopefully he will stick around and not go to some basketball academy. He started 9 games for the varsity football team but everyone I've talked to around the program seems to think basketball is his favorite sport.

Sewell had an off night, something like 3/17 from the field. Seniors Eply and Corbett stepped up and carried the team. Great leadership by both players.
