Top 10 teams in the Mountains?

Featured Replies

Who is the top 10 teams in the mtns? This basically consists of teams that are covered by WYMT.

I'd say in no particular order:

Shelby Valley

South Laurel

Corbin

Perry Cenral

Clay Co.

Knott Central

Hazard

Knox Central

Rockastle Co.

SW Pulaski

Good list LMB.

In my region, the 14th, I think Knott Central might have a slight edge over Perry Central. Hazard is probably a distant 3rd. The region champion should come from one of those 3.

Knott's got most of their team back from last year, and have picked up a 6'6 transfer from June Buchanan that should help.

1. Shelby Valley

2. Clay Co.

3. Knott Co. Central

4. South Laurel

5. Corbin

6. Perry Central

7. Knox Central

8. Hazard

9. Bell Co.

10. SW Pulaski

1. Shelby Valley

2. Knott County Central

3. Corbin

4. Perry County Central

5. South Laurel

6. McCreary County Central

7. Clay County

8. Knox County Central

9. Hazard

10. Bell County

Defining mountains is always tricky.

In high school sports, it's just regions 13,14 and 15 for me.

Otherwise, it's too confusing splitting regions.

Like I said, I defined as the teams covered by WYMT.

If it was between SW Pulaski and McCreary for the mountains, you have to give that one to McCreary.

Sorry to disagree with you but PCC also has most of their team back also with the Salyers kid moving in to the starting lineup from being the sixth man last yr. and also the Martain Kid that came over from Hazard he is also a great addition. This summer PCC led S. Valley the whole game and just got beat at the end of the game when Salyers got elbow in the head and had to go out of the game to the hospital, so in maybe PCC could maybe be the best team in the 14th but time will tell. KCC and PCC is by far the top two teams. JMO:thumb:

Have to give edge to PCC in the 14th region, KCC made a bad coaching change that will hurt them. Why put in a new system when you already have the best team in the region?

The coach they hired does have over 600 wins. Believe it or not hes a pretty good coach.

He was pretty good at least 600 times.

McCreary definitely feels like your still in the mountains when you drive over there. The 50th district will trade South Laurel to the 12th region for McCreary Central. S.L. acts like a bunch of flatlanders anyway. If you can justify putting the Laurel County schools in differant disticts you can justify putting them in differant regions.

 How in the world does a flatlander act anyway?:idunno:
