Seneca's pressure destroys Boone causing about 15 turnovers in 3rd quarter.

Despite their recent loss to Trinity, Seneca has cemented them selves as legitimate contenders for the 7th Region title.

Boone was overmatched athletically and looked disorganized trying to break the press. They were also outrebounded handily and had a bunch of shots blocked.

Looks like it's back to the drawing board for Boone.

 

You have to have an organized press breaker to compete with the likes of Seneca.

How does Boone Co not have a press break with the likes of Popp/Gabbard/Earls? These guys have played enough AAU National ball to see athleticism like that. Heck, let Cotton take it out, throw it in to either Popp or Gabbard and put Earls at midcourt.

Earls, nor any other Boone player was ever at midcourt during the press breaker. 2 of Boone's big men stayed down the other end of the court most of the time next to the basket.

Which is useless if you cant get it past midcourt. Its like having 3 big men over 7 feet tall on a HS team but your guards dribble it off their foot. If you cant get the ball down the court the big men mean nothing.

 

The REbels will not see pressure like that anytime soon in the 9th Region. Not even Holmes presses with the same intensity as those Louisville schools. Does Holmes even press anymore?

Wo can Seneca have a boatload of turnovers, shoot the ball poorly, and score 83 points? Seneca made it a full court game and Boone threw it all over the place. That game was a mismatch in the second half. All I saw was Seneca rack up over 50 points in the second half - must have not shot well - LOL
