  1. Seneca has lost 3 of last five (not 4 out of five).. Those three are at Trinity, At J-Town (overtime) and a hot Manual team. Seneca is still a legitimate threat to beat Trinity. If PTB wants his precious Manual team at Rupp, he better hope somebody beats Trinity...
  2. Seneca will be good again. They return 6 juniors from this year's team. They return their two leading scorers - Kevin Shaw & Martez Harris. Probably top 10 to 15 team. Louisville looses ALOT of talented seniors this year. Eastern, Trinity & Seneca are the best next year in the 7th region IMO.
  3. Rescheduled for Saturday (tonight), 7:30, at Ballard
  4. I don't know. But they expanded the field to twenty (was 16). That includes eight more Louisville teams that would not be able to participate otherwise. I don't know about the future and out-in-state teams. This year, however,Louisville is loaded with quality teams. It should be a blast to watch!
  5. There will soon, if not already, be an argument for Fern Creek and Moore to join the top twenty.
  6. A pre-season SETH ranking was published a month ago. Seneca, at that time was ranked 11th in the entire city according to the pre-season SETH ratings. Since then, they have beaten 7 pre-season top twenty teams: (according to the Courier-Journal) [*]Warren Central [*]Iroquois [*]Knott County [*]Eastern [*]Highlands [*]Boone County [*]George Rogers Clark Yes, Trinity has accomplished alot - including a win over Seneca. But Seneca beat Eastern and is ranked below them in this system. If you would like to know more about how points are gained and lost, here is a link to the web page that describes the point/ranking system: Seth rankings
  7. Wo can Seneca have a boatload of turnovers, shoot the ball poorly, and score 83 points? Seneca made it a full court game and Boone threw it all over the place. That game was a mismatch in the second half. All I saw was Seneca rack up over 50 points in the second half - must have not shot well - LOL
  8. No. Maddox has not played. I asked the same question at the game. Seneca is doing real well without him. He's talented!
  9. Maddox is not playing this season and Seneca's starting guard - Roy Stone was on the bench tonight for Seneca also. Not sure of Maddox's status but he was in the student section tonight. Stone was not in uniform, but was on the bench.
  10. Coaches get a regional ballot and a state ballot. The 11th region coaches voted him 2nd in the region. The state coaches voted him 2nd in the state. The same thing happens with teams, too. Take Lou. Central for example. They are picked to be the 5th best team in the sixth region - but their picked in the top twenty in the sate. Obviously, the state coaches think higher of Central this year than do the coaches in their own region. It is misleading...
  11. I don't know if Seneca found a replacement, or not. They are on the schedule to play Graves County at Male on the 28th. I'm sure Seneca's players were disappointed not to be a part of the day yesterday at PRP...
  12. Don't know what PRP is going to do to fill the gap in theri panarama this Saturday. It leaves Seneca without a scrimmage with less than two weeks before the season starts. That's pretty bad treatment of another school, if ya ask me...
  13. Nov. 28th at Louisville Male High School: 11:00 Graves County vs. Seneca 12:30 Covington Catholic vs. Butler 2:00 Covington Holmes vs. Male 3:30 Owen County vs. Fern Creek 5:00 Frankfort vs. DeSales JV games begin 1 1/2 hours befor varsity
