  1. I believe he started the last half of the year after another player on the team got hurt. He's a very athletic player.
  2. They are good kids. I believe both of them are sophomores, but one is a year older. They will definitely strengthen the team and make an immediate difference. Good luck!
  3. They were in the weaker half of the bracket, LCA got beat in the finals by 33.
  4. Were these the two boys that played with Knox co. During summer ball?
  5. Looks like the talent level at the incoming senior and junior level is not as strong as it typically is. I don't believe that's the case for the incoming sophomore class.there are several incoming sophomores that will establish themselves as top players in the region this year.
  6. Wow! Get a new coach and a new player also! Nick is a very good point guard, he will definitely strengthen the team. Good luck Owls!:thumb:
  7. The 15U adidas OBC patriots Lost to the DC assault in the championship game of the adidas Super 64. Congratulations boys and coaches on representing Kentucky basketball. Of the 10 national tournaments they played in they won 4, were runners-up 4 times and third 1 time. That means in 8 of the 10 tournaments they played in, they played for the championship. Pretty big accomplishment for a bunch of boys from Kentucky.
  8. The adidas OBC patriots beat the GC Ballers in the final four and play DC Assault in the championship 15U adidas super 64 tournament. Good luck to the boys and coaches.
  9. The 15U OBC patriots have won their first three bracket games beating the Dallas tarheels, CIA Bounce (Canada) and Philadelphia Playaz. They play in the final four tomorrow against the GC Ballers (Canada), if they win they play either the DC Assault or Memphis M33M Magic (aka Memphis belview tigers) in the finals;
  10. The adidas OBC Patriots won their other two pool games beating a team from California by 41 and a team from Kansas city by 51. Their first bracket game is this evening.
  11. No, he left the team in May
  12. The 15U adidas Ohio Basketball Club Patriots will be leaving for Vegas today also. Team members are as follows.... Chad Jackson - Rose Hill Dakotah Euton - Rose Hill Tyrell Willis - Calloway Co. Austin Flannery - Boone Co. Clay Coleman - Ryle Josh Sewell - Trinity Chris Richard - Lou. Southern Wesley Cox - Ballard Noah Cottrill - Poca, WV Todd Mayo - South Point, OH Their first game is Sunday @ 3:40 vs Michigan Mustangs. Good luck boys!
  13. The adidas Ohio Basketball Club Patriots won the 15U Championship game beating CBIZ by 16. This is a Kentucky team.
  14. The 15U adidas OBC Patriots made it to the championship game but got beat by 1 in overtime to the KC Pump N Run
  15. I agree, I saw them play this summer and they did not look too good. I realize that it was "just summer ball" but they did lose a lot last year. The o'conner kid has potential but he is going to have to put on some weight and muscle before he will be effective at the varsity level. The incoming freshman I believe a previous poster was speaking about is a point guard I think. He has potential to contribute at the jv level. He's a little small but he is a very good player.
  16. Mason Co. is definitely going to be one of the teams to beat in KY. Their size across the board is what will make them tough. Setty and Middleton can handle the ball very well and pull up and hit the jumper. I believe both of them are 6'4"+. They will have a very good team this year. Good luck!
  17. How do you get Knox Central being one of the top three teams in the tournament when they lost two games? Also, Cody is a very good player and athlete, but there is a huge difference in the level of play between Cody and Dakotah. Just ask Gillespie. Knox will be hard to beat in the 13th if the two players from Bell Co. play with them. It's good to get two players of that quality to jump into the starting lineup and make an instant impact. Good luck to Knox, they have a very good team.
  18. budman you're correct. I was misinformed on the schedule. If I'm right, the NCAA Certified events start back up in July.
  19. The adidas OBC Patriots 15U team is traveling to Chapel Hill, NC to play in the NCAA Certified Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions this weekend.
  20. Two weeks ago the Adidas Ohio Basketball Club Patriots 15U made it to the final four of the Pittsburgh Jam Fest, beating the Ft. Wayne Flames, Boo Williams and Pittsburgh Storm in pool play. Eventually losing in the Gold Bracket final four to New Heights, NY (last years 14U AAU national champion). Last weekend the OBC Patriots finished 2nd out of 63 teams in the King James Tournament in Akron, OH. They beat Mc Irvine Fire (IL), Team Melo (MD) in pool play then in bracket play they beat the Queen City Prophets (Cin, OH), All Ohio Red (OH), Ferrari (Ill), CIA Bounce (Toronto, Ontario) and lost to CBIZ (OH) in the championship game.
  21. Conner beat Ryle by 2, game went back and forth. I believe Adam Crews had 35 points, I don't think he missed a shot all night. Looks like Coach Hicks has his boys ready again for district tournament time. Congrats to Conner!:thumb:
  22. I would hate to see Coach Wright resign after one disappointing season. He's done an outstanding job with Lee's program over the years. I hope this is just a rumor.
  23. Tough loss, was the district seeded or was it a draw? If it was a draw, that was a bad one for McCreary, seems like they struggled with Wayne Co. both times this year.
  24. Was this the first game in the district tournament?
  25. I heard that Flannery, Gabbard & Popp will be playing in the freshman tournament. But Wildcatfan is right if there is a conflict with a JV/Varsity game they won't play with the freshman team.
