Maybe Cooper can schedule Owensboro next year. They too have to fill a full schedule, they could possibly play all the teams that Boone, Ryle and Conner had to drop.

Gallatin/Bracken Co Predictions
fullcourt replied to OlBallCoach's topic in KY Football (High School)
Not much to say, Bracken has the second lowest "LIT" rating in the state, there is only one school in the state of KY ranked lower than Bracken....and that is Phelps HS in Pike Co. Gallatin should win this one with ease. However, Gallatin has done an outstanding job this year considering they are a second year program.:thumb: -

Players to watch in the Class of 2011
fullcourt replied to eccheer's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I believe Tony Kimbro Jr. from Louisville is a freshman, if so, he will be one of the top 2011's in the state. I've seen him play several times and have been hearing good things about him. The 16th region will have a couple of Rose Hill freshmen make a huge impact on the way the teams focus on stopping Euton and Jackson.... Robbie Barber has grown and can shoot "lights out", the defense can't leave him alone too long or he will have a field day. Even though Alex Malloy hasn't grown much over the past year, he has the body of a senior (muscle wise not weight). This kid is "ripped", he is quick on defense and can slash to the basket. If these two freshmen play to their potential, I believe there could be a new "King of the Hill" in the 16th Region. Pardon my pun! -
2007/2008 Knox Central
fullcourt replied to gold sunrise's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
After watching them this summer, I thought they would be a contender in the 13th; but now losing the two boys from Bell Co. they won't be as strong as I thought they were going to be. I don't know if they have anyone that can handle the ball at point as good as the Whitaker boy that transferred to Hazard. So in a "nut-shell" someone has to step up and play point. I'm sure someone on the team can fill that position. -
Scott County getting transfer point guard
fullcourt replied to kwl1977's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I believe he started the last half of the year after another player on the team got hurt. He's a very athletic player. -
They are good kids. I believe both of them are sophomores, but one is a year older. They will definitely strengthen the team and make an immediate difference. Good luck!

Best Players In The 9th.
fullcourt replied to Uncle Charlie's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Looks like the talent level at the incoming senior and junior level is not as strong as it typically is. I don't believe that's the case for the incoming sophomore class.there are several incoming sophomores that will establish themselves as top players in the region this year. -

Wow! Get a new coach and a new player also! Nick is a very good point guard, he will definitely strengthen the team. Good luck Owls!:thumb: -
The 15U adidas OBC patriots Lost to the DC assault in the championship game of the adidas Super 64. Congratulations boys and coaches on representing Kentucky basketball. Of the 10 national tournaments they played in they won 4, were runners-up 4 times and third 1 time. That means in 8 of the 10 tournaments they played in, they played for the championship. Pretty big accomplishment for a bunch of boys from Kentucky.

I agree, I saw them play this summer and they did not look too good. I realize that it was "just summer ball" but they did lose a lot last year. The o'conner kid has potential but he is going to have to put on some weight and muscle before he will be effective at the varsity level. The incoming freshman I believe a previous poster was speaking about is a point guard I think. He has potential to contribute at the jv level. He's a little small but he is a very good player. -
Bluegrass Championship results from Frankfort?
fullcourt replied to mhighfield's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Mason Co. is definitely going to be one of the teams to beat in KY. Their size across the board is what will make them tough. Setty and Middleton can handle the ball very well and pull up and hit the jumper. I believe both of them are 6'4"+. They will have a very good team this year. Good luck! -
How do you get Knox Central being one of the top three teams in the tournament when they lost two games? Also, Cody is a very good player and athlete, but there is a huge difference in the level of play between Cody and Dakotah. Just ask Gillespie. Knox will be hard to beat in the 13th if the two players from Bell Co. play with them. It's good to get two players of that quality to jump into the starting lineup and make an instant impact. Good luck to Knox, they have a very good team.

budman you're correct. I was misinformed on the schedule. If I'm right, the NCAA Certified events start back up in July.
