Hopes to keep his 3.0 GPA and assure himself a state championship is what he should have said.

Good job Toyota!

I don't think Toyota had anything to do with this move, this young man is looking to improve his academics and if he can do that then I say congrats to him. I'm not sure how the KHSAA will look at the situation with him having participated at the varsity level at Henry Clay.

I have seen & coached against this kid and he is a talented player with very quick hands & feet. With that being said, I don't think he will see the court enough to average 15 pts. a game next season for the Cardinals.

Scott County does seem like a great place to live. Things do just seem fishy with the players who transfer in.

I will keep my thoughts and opinions to myself to avoid a BGP banning.

Wow! Does this give them 3 quality point guards for next year Mackey, Jordan Adams & now this kid or who will get the minutes?

Good job Toyota!

If i am not mistaken wasn't Ethan King from Bracken County?

Scott County doesn't have to recruit. It is kind of like Mason, Ballard and Warren Central in Basketball and in Football like HIghlands, Cov Cath, and Boyle County kids just want to play for these successful programs.

The article said his family moved to Georgetown and if this is accurate, then he will be eligible no matter if he played varsity or not.

I would have to agree with you HoopDR. It's true that great programs attract talent, but I know for a fact that Toyota has been a draw in the past for some players families. I won't name names here, because it's really not for the best as we all know many of the names already. With that said I still have a great deal of respect the Scott County program and all they have done under Coach Billy Hicks.

I'm with you!:thumb:

I doubt Toyota had anything to do with it. The kid is from Lexington, and to be honest he probably really wants to play for a good ball team that will compete at a high level and get exposure to get himself to the next level. I do not think that Scott Co. recruited this kid at all. There is really no reason to with what they have coming back. You can say what you want, keep your thoughts to yourself or whatever, but the program attracted this kid. The coaching staff most definitely didnt go out and get this kid.

Bell you might be right in this care but it's not necessarily this certain one that has everyone think about that. I will end this all right now before this get shut down. :thumb:
