  1. Bryan Station is starting off with a down year, but I think the team as a lot of potential and will get much better as the season goes on.
  2. Fleming is a team to look out for in the 16th now that they have a coach. There will be a bright future in Flemingsburg as long as he is there.
  3. Maybe he should have considered that, would have given him a few more options over the break!
  4. Did anyone find it interesting he was inserted into a game right before semester break: as if to prevent him from maybe moving on during the break?
  5. What if the "King" Kelly Coleman had actually been cheered in his state tourney appearance in Memorial instead of booed and became a Wildcat? I think as a basketball fan in this state this is the biggest what if or what would have happened of them all. I've talked to many who state he was better than Oscar and Jerry West!
  6. Does anyone have the pairings for the upcoming Raceland tourney?
  7. Mustang you are right on with this. That celebrity game is awful to watch and causes a lot of people to leave. I know of a lot of Mason Co. people that would have stayed to watch some of Scott and Lex Cath game if it wasn't for that celebrity game. I somehow managed to make it through it and stayed. The level of basketball at this event was awful this year also. You would thing that with arena like they have that they could get some big time teams to come. Last year the Scott Co Holmes game was very entertaining but this year there was nothing like that. If things don't change I don't see this event lasting much longer.
  8. I am really really disappointed with the play of Purvis tonight. He will not get looks from the likes of Kentucky with games like this.
  9. What a beatdown! Impressed by the Lady Royals! I do not want to get anything started but what is going on in Fleming County? They seem to be majorly under achieving lately. Something needs to be fixed.
  10. I also look for Purvis to have 25 or 30 tonight. He will prove tonight that he is a big time player, one of the best in the state.
  11. With the best 5 players in the region you should beat Montgomery by more. Maybe the Indians were just hungrier? Anyway if Clark Co. wants to live up to the expectations as the best team in 10th region history then they need to pick it up! I can never remember a 10th region team having the best five players and one of the best coaches in the region.
  12. I thought for sure that Clark Co. was 25 points better than anybody in the 10th region but I guess not. I mean they have the best 5 players in the region in Stenzel, Zollo, Purvis, Roger, and Daniel. Chemistry has to be an issue!?!?!?!?!
  13. Lions totally dominated in all aspects of the game and Timmy, Cody and Jacob were just too much for the West Liberty boys to handle! Hey, Mountain Ball Blitz Isn't Dead Yet!
  14. Clarify your ten minutes, are you meaning a direct shot or is this a radius we are looking at. Direct shot to Bellevue you are adding what two more to the mix: unless you're advocating that flea bag directly across from the Reds field. Then lets go to Covington you have five more hotels there but two of which charge in excess of $200.00 a night so for this event seems a little much. So I don't see how in any shape form or fashion you are not sending people out to Florence or as you suggested wouldn't have to happen downtown Cincinnati. What you are failing to realize you are dealing with 32 teams not the usual 16 at each boy/girl state tournament!
  15. Well in this economic climate you're dead wrong, asking people and or families to drive 30 -40 miles round trip for 4 days from a hotel is wrong! Florence is where the majority of teams and fans would be staying and that commute I just detailed would be the scenario at hands for fans and players. Also, with the handlers NKU has overseeing BOKC I find it hard to believe a hefty price tag wouldn't come with them hosting the event. As all 10th region fans can attest the BOKC is not all that fan friendly to high school events!
  16. Daniel Brown- was head coach at North Laurel, Bourbon county and currently Henry Clay, got Nicholas county to the 1992 10th region championship as a player were defeated by Orlando/Timmy Myrick and Co. John Brown- graduated from Nicholas county in 1995 and is currently an assistant at Mt. Olivet Deming. Dale Brown- is a cousin to Daniel and a brother to John I think but could be wrong, anyway you can find him playing softball somewhere in KY most weekends and that's probably where you know him from. Mike Cofer- graduated from E-town in 1997 and played JV ball at Lindsey Wilson for two years then transferred to Bellermine to finish out his career. I think this is his third year at Nicholas county.
  17. You could make a case for a Corbin or Pikeville but like NKU they are too extreme in one direction to host the tournament.
