  1. I take the Lions by 7 with this being the Nickell and Knipp tandom coming out party!
  2. People have been warned all summer on here that "Mountain Ball Blitz" isn't over yet and Timmy Knipp is the best player this state has to offer! Coach Cal needs to get up to the Penny Mart for a slushy and get him signed up!
  3. Anybody know price of admission for this event?
  4. No, Mason Co. will have the first 3 at home no matter what with the third being Belfry or whoever. Then no matter what the fourth game is on the road. Like last year the third game was going to be on the road but the fourth game would of been at home.
  5. Mason Co. is not allowed to play in the Lexington Catholic tournament or play Lexington Catholic because of their district voting against it. I was also told that their district voted against playing Scott Co. but I can't find a reason for that. The reason for voting against Lexington Catholic and such is because the whole private vs public thing. Mason Co. didn't play in the Lexington Catholic tourmament last year either and the only reason they played Lexington Catholic during the season was because they had to finish the contract. This is all coming from a very reliable source!
  6. Mason Co. will be at home for the first 3 playoff games and on the road for the 4th playoff game!!
  7. Elliott will be fine, when you have the best player in the state on your team and some other fine players to go with him it goes along way! I've said all along I expect them back at the state tourney as we will see improvement with this bunch throughout the year.
  8. All of this Mason County slamming is getting old! Mason County basketball is the standard of 10th region basketball and one of the top five high school basketball programs in the greatest state to play the sport! The people in Maysville love the sport and develop talent with the Boy's Club and the YMCA that any community wanting to win should have to grow talent. Mason County wins and wins big with a relatively small school and student enrollment by being smart with player development. Mason County basketball is one of the driving forces of any school in this state who wants to measure basketball success.
  9. Yeah I noticed no M.C.I.T. myself and I will also miss it! Greatest tourney moment was the Pendleton's Terry Davis and his three to beat Mason in the 06 final which was a double overtime game. Greatest high school game I ever witnessed!
  10. Justice should jump all over a Kansas State offer, one might not think it but Manhattan, Kansas is a great college town.
  11. Like said about Mason Co. went into Russel last year in awful conditions and game out with a win. In big games the team who avoids turnovers, dumb penalties, executes well, and wins on special teams will win the game. A big key for Mason Co. is to get the lead early in this game and that will take Russel away from their strength. If Russel has 15 or 20 pass attempts in this game then that is a very good sign for Mason Co. Coach B will have the boys ready to go tomorrow night! In my opinion this game will be within two touchdowns with Mason Co. winning 28 to 15.
  12. Clark vs. Mason is a very good debate. I do not think Fraysure should be bashed for ranking Mason Co. ahead of Clark because it is very close. Anybody could make a point for Clark being better or vice versa. The 10th region is between Mason and Clark only, as long as both stay away from injuries. The best player in the region is Stenzel and with Setty's big summer I'm looking for a lot of special things out of him this year. He will finally be "the man" and we will see what he does with it. When it comes down to matchups I think both teams have advantages. The pg advantage is definitely with Mason, Gilbert will cause problems with his penetration and a very good shot to go with it. The sg advantage does go to Clark but Mason's Justin Lang is very good defensively and people will be surprised. Lang will make Stenzel work for everything that he gets. According to gold sunrise Pervis now plays wing so I guess you would pencil him in the 3 spot. Mason's 3 would be Bradley Lang and Pervis would have a size advantage but Pervis is not even close to as mobile as Bradley Lang. I haven't seen Pervis play since freshman year but the kid didn't turn into Kevin Durant over night. Defensively he can not guard the 3 position. If Pervis is on Pawsat then once again he is not athletic enough to stay with Pawsat. I'm pretty sure Pawsat will be on Rogers though because he is a battler. Pawsat battled him in the finals and will hold his own because Rogers can not stay with Pawsat defensively. I know you Clark fans will say Rogers wasn't fully healthy in the finals but this is the only proof we have to go off of. Then it comes down to Zollo and Setty and I would give the edge to Setty. Well for Mason Co. to beat Clark, Setty has to have the advantage here. He has to step up and be "the man" or Clark will make it to Rupp this year. I think the benches are pretty even. I don't know much about Clark past Daniels. He is very athletic but not really much else and seemed to get really discouraged a lot. So I expect Mason to be able to cancel him out with Manship and I am really expecting big things out of Tyler Black. Tyler Black will be another key because he is capable of big things and could be starting before the season is over. Clark does have the advantage when it comes to the coaching but then the 10th region is being played at Mason (haha) so that even outs also. I expect a real battle between the two teams this year, goodluck to all!
  13. Yeah I hope Greene has a break out year alot of people expected big things from him since he did start as a freshman but the star dimmed a little, I think this is his last go around hoping he takes advantage of it! Really looking forward to seeing this Monroe kid play and see what he has, I know Simms can coach he just needs kids to toughen up and be interested in winning basketball. The 05 and 06 teams should be a testament to all PC teams they can accomplish alot if there head and heart is into it.
  14. Thank you lord the 10th is back to its HOME and lets mount a campaign amongest "real" tenth region fans to keep it there! Let Montgomery go to the 16th or 1st region or set up shop in West Virginia for all I care and leave the NKU experiment just that an experiment! Mason county and the Fieldhouse are the only places for the 10th region tourney! And when I say "real" tenth region fans I mean those in Mason, Bracken, Robertson, Pendleton, Harrison counties for which these are the people who have supported this tournament for years and made it the envy of the state of Kentucky!
  15. Congrats to Coach B and the players!! It is well deserved but guys it is still early. Stay focused and get to Bowling Green in December!!!!!!!
  16. Spoke to Coach Bezold 10 minutes after Elliott got beat in the state tourney and he told me point blank he offered both Faulkners and Ferguson a schlorship but couldn't get them all to commit. Like many I would love to see them one day get back together, hey even add Morgan, older Knipp and Flannery to the mix while you're at it!
  17. The CP3 All-Stars are also missing P.J. Hairston who is a top 25 player in his class(junior to be). He hurt his groin at the NBA camp and isn't ready to play yet. He is a shooting guard that has major D1 programs hot on his trail.
  18. When does the Lebron Camp start? I thought in past years that the Lebron Camp wouldn't start until like the third day of the Take 5ive and that is when the coaches and players would leave.
  19. I know that the CP3 All-Stars have Reggie Bullock which is a North Carolina commitment. He is a 6-6 shooting guard that is at top 15 in his class(junior to be). Also, Casey Prather plays for the Atlanta Celtics and he is a pretty big recruit(senior to be). But with the Lebron Camp going on you never know who will show up and who wont.
  20. Timmy doesn't sulk that's just Timmy being Timmy! People have a misconception of this kid that's unreal and need to give it a rest.
  21. What Clark county should have done was get Chris Harrison to transfer from Trinity to Clark county filling the void at point. Stenzel and the Harrison kid are related so that would have been fun to see. Who wouldn't want to be in the Fieldhouse in March and hear, "Harrison for 3," again?
  22. Mason isn't missing Barner, he is transferring back to a school in Lexington.
  23. Wasn't in refernce to you, your posts are logical and speak of the development aspect which are fine.
