Bracken 52 Harrison 32

East Carter 64 Mason 71

Russell 65 North Adams, Oh. 47

Lewis Co 46 North Adams, Oh. 42

Mason 45 Newport Catholic 40

Lewis Co defeated Harrison by approximately 20pts.

Alot of teams were playing short handed. Mason was without Pawsat, Barner and King one game. Logan Manship played and played well, he just needs more work playing with the guys. More games on Friday.

Did any players stand out in any of the games?

I thought for Mason Jordan Gilbert and Brad Lang really looked good,Setty looked liked he was just trying to get his teammates involed wasn't to much into scoring,But you could tell when he wanted to he could with ease.

How did Bracken County look, Harrison County must still be missing all of the baseball team that plays on basketball team to lose by a combined 40 to them and Lewis? Why would Reitz enter half a team in all of these camps they've been involved in?

Mason isn't missing Barner, he is transferring back to a school in Lexington.

Big blow for the Royals. Barner is a solid player. Any idea where he's transferring?

I would say back to Bryan Station.

Harrison has a "solid" group of incoming freshmen players. Probably shouldn't have entered two teams, but with Harrison it's pretty much a guessing game. You never know when or if baseball players are going to be available. The baseball ball team went deep into state baseball tournament, thus, baseball players won't play any games this summer. However, the freshmen group has gotten a lot of valuable experience.

That's good for the youngsters to get this type of competition and floor time. It will pay off in future years.:thumb:

I think its more of Coach Kendall wanting to let the younger kids play than Coach Reitz having anything to do with it. Some of the best freshman basketball players are not even playing basketball right now but it gives the ones that are great experience.

Wonder what the cost to enter this camp was? Obviously not enough to afford to turn on the AC. I don't know that I've ever been in a hotter gym in all my days. Shoot, the "Thrilla in Manilla" wasn't even close to this deal down at the old gym. My normal fro was humidified down to dred locks. I overheard a father tell his son "go get her autograph" and he was talking about me. He thought I was Whoopie Goldberg with my hair a mess.

Bracken Polar Bears (ironic name in this heat) lost to Russell and then Ashland. Heard some griping about the officiating, but as hot as it was, it would have taken a crackback to call a foul today. 2 games is all I had in me. Good luck to all those young men who suffered through the heat.

Only in America, baby!

Saw the buses down at the girls' gym this afternoon but I had errands to run. 92 degrees and 60 percent humidity outside, inside had to be a sauna.
