After a hot start and blowout wins over Danville and Montgomery Co, Mason Co has moved to the top of the polls in Class 3A. Mason has a very nice team and congratulations to Coach Buchanan and his players. Mason is off this Friday and plays Bourbon Co in Paris next Friday.:ylsuper::ylsuper:

At this point, Mason County deserves the high ranking. They've already navigated the toughest part of their schedule, too, so they could be keeping this ranking for a while.

Congratulations to the players and coaches. Enjoy your accomplishment but remember the season is still young and there's a lot left to do.

A little of both. People expected Mason to be good; they were a top five team. With some early losses by some other 3A teams, there was no where for the Royals to go but up. It's well deserved.

Congrats to Coach B and the Royals. He is a fine man and good coach. I am sure he will be the 1st to tell you this means nothing in September though.

Not a surprise to me. I was very impressed with Mason Co. when we competed against them in the 7 on 7s. Plus Coach Buchanon told me that he thought they would have a very good line this year. Put the two together and you have the making of a very, very good football team. Congrats Coach and players. Keep it going. :thumb:

I tip my cap to Coach B! You don't come across too many finer coaches, and you definitely don't come across a better all around person!

Sad thing about the 1A rankings everybody knows Beechwood is ranked 4th but by the end of the season will still be #1. It takes beatings to give beatings.
