Always a tough out for the Royals, even when the Red Devils are "down" on paper. Who gets the win here?

Big District game this Friday 10/09 @ Mason Co.

Who you got?

Mason Co 35

Russell 20

Should be a good game, but I got to take Mason by a few. Mason 27 Russell 21

I got a feeling Mason Co will have to much speed on the corners for Russell. Speed kills. And Mason has lots of it. Mason Co Will down Russell By two TD's or more. That said. I hope Russell proves me wrong and Russell wins this big game. Whoever wins this game will win the district. MO

Classic game of which team can force their style on the other team/play to their strengths. Royals will try to utilize their speed; Red Devils will try to ram the ball down Mason County's throat.

If Mason does not sure up their run defense and pass protection, then this game will be a slug fest. Time of possession and ball protection will determine the victor in this contest. I predict Mason by a touchdown in a low scoring game.

Russell usually has trouble with a power running team, not a passing team.

I haven’t seen Mason Co. this year. How is their O-line and do they have a hard-running back? Do they rely on the pass?

Yeah, Josh Harris is a stud running back with at least 8 TD's I would guess and their QB Pawsat is an outstanding player. Mason Co does both the pass and the run about equal.

Mason has a solid O-line too. The tackles are both 250-265 lbs and move well. The center is a solid senior who started last year. A couple of good tight ends, also. Harris doesn't get those yards running behind a weak line.

One thing a team cannot prepare for is speed and Mason has plenty of it along with more athletes. Russell is a good football team but imo Mason just has too much for the Red Devils this season.

Mason County 38

Thanks for the reports. It sounds like it's going to be a tough game for Russell.

The winner will be whoever's defense rises to the occasion. Russell has to find a way to slow Mason's speed...Mason has to do something they haven't done much this year - stop the run...
