Mason County beat Henry Clay 76-75 in the finals. Trevor Setty hit a 3 with 6 seconds left to put the Royals up at the end. Sloppy game with alot of turnovers both ways. Nice summer for the Royals without Darius Miller.

That means Mason is still undefeated in summer play at around 10-0 and they only had Darius Miller for 1 game so far.They have beat LexCath,PRP,Male and more.Great job guys keep it up i believe there is 2 more camps left and they should not have Darius for the rest of the summer.

Mason County is finished. They played at Lex Cath, Mason Co, Madison Central, and now Frankfort.

They also lost to PRP, Lexington Catholic, and Lafayette. All at Madison Central.

Great win for Mason Co. Henry Clay was without Boyd and Mason without Miller. Obviously Miller the bigger differentiator.

 

Disagree with the the game having been played sloppily. Mason jumped out to a big lead early. Henry Clay worked their way back into the game with pressure defense. They forced the turnovers with pressure defense and converted.

 

Mason Co shot the ball well, especially Middleton and #24 (Setty?). HC was up two and on the line shooting a bonus with I believe about 30 seconds left, missed and Mason came down, called a time out. Inbounded the ball to #24 and he made a fantastic move off the dribble at the top of the 3 point circle and drained a three putting Mason up 1 with about 3.2 seconds left. HC went the length of the court missing a decent shot.

 

IMO it was a well played ball game. HC had to work their tails off defensively to get back in it.

 

Mason looks like they will be very good this upcoming season. They were very good without D. Miller. Beat a very good PRP team to get to the finals.

 

Henry Clay appears to have a very good team as well. Victor Moses can take over a game. Number 15 for Henry Clay is also very good. Henry Clay waxed Madison Central in the semis. It was no contest!!!!!! # 15 (Stewart?) was so hot from the three point line the fire department had to be called to cool him off!!!!!!!

You are probably right about the sloppy game. I wasn't at the game just relaying what I heard.:thumb:

Yes, higher seeds played a lower seed from another pool.

I know the HC/Franklin County and Lex Cath/Mad Central quarterfinals were very tight games. Don't know about the other two.

If Miller didn't play for Mason then this is an impressive showing from them.
