Wills isnt the only one who got robbed! There is no way any defensive player from Ashland should've made it over Raceland's J.T. Forrest. That is ridiculous!

Raceland Rams go 11-2 with a district championship and give NCC all they can handle in the regional championship and dont even get one player on honorable mention. QB Scott Grizzle had 31 passing td's 7 rushing and only 7 interceptions and doesnt even get his name on the list....thats ridiculous! And ask anybody that played the Rams about LB J.T. Forrest... if anybody should have made it for defense from the "Ashland-Area" it should have been Forrest. Just ask the TOMCATS about #51 for the Rams. But then again, the ADI would hate to give a vote to a couple kids that beat "their" team.

I heard from a good source that the Rams are goin to add Paintsville back to the schedule in 2007....also West Carter will be on there and they are going to still play East Carter as well.

Seen him in person at Johnson Central. The kid can flat out boot the football. Best of luck at the next level.

Franklin County was blessed with an excellent QB in Kaelin Ammons for the last four years. He is an outstanding athlete and tremendously improved the Franklin County program. I was just wondering if anyone knows where he is going to play his football at next year and if he has received any scholarship offers?

Great win RAMS! Holbrook and Phillips really stepped it up! Also Sparks, Mullins, and Boyles turned in solid games. Mullins behind the back pass in the 4th quarter was amazing...the kid can flat out dish the basketball.

Im going to go with southwestern.

Ferguson will be the toughest matchup for the Rams. The Faulkners will be locked down by Mullins and Holbrook. Maynard? I dont know who he is...

The Rams looked a little rusty in their first game out. Like Cville said some of the key players are just now getting into the flow of things after a long football season. However, the Rams played extremely hard and aggressive against West. The offense will come along as the season continues. I like this early season matchup to come down to rebounds and defense. More than likely both teams will struggle a little on O. So Im gonna pick my RAMS to win this one at home. Plus I dont think Elliot has anyone that can stop Sparks inside. RHS 59 Elliot 53

The 16'th region is very competitive. It wouldnt totally suprise me if the devils were knocked off by a lesser team. But I will have to go with them as my favorite to win the region once again.

The Raceland Rams return 3 of their top pitchers from last years regional runnner-up team. Lefty Scott Grizzle, and right handers Blake Morris and Matt Phillips. They also have alot of young talen returning, including SS Peyton Martin who batted over .400 last year and will most likely be taking over the lead off spot for the Rams now that Tolliver is gone.

I would love to see the Devils pull this one off but I just think Mercer is way to deep for Russell. I think that Russell will be able to put some points on the board but Im not sure if they can stop that backfield from M.C.. I like Mercer pulling away in the fourth. Mercer County 41 Russell 28

The 2006 Raceland Rams will always be remembered as the team that set the bar for all future Rams! They had a great season the included victories over all of their rivals (Ashland,Fairview,G.C., and LCA), the schools 16'th district championship, and a regional runner-up. They also broke numerous school records as a team and as individuals. LB J.T. Forrest possibly became the schools all-time leading tackler. QB Scott Grizzle became the schools all-time leading passer in all categories except comp. % ( he completed 65% for his career, Pettrey comp. 72%). WR/KR Derrick Beach broke the single season record for kick/punt return yardage and TD's. All three of these seniors are planning on playing at the next level. Forrest is being recruited by several D3 and NAIA schools. I know he has a visit to Mount St. Joseph this weekend and he has also visited Georgetown earlier this year. Grizzle has a prefered walk-on offer from Eastern Kentucky Universtiy and he is also being contaced on a regular basis from Mount Union, Georgetown, Centre, and some other D2 & D3 schools. Beach is being recruited heavily be Kentucky State and I also heard WVU is showing alot of interest. Beach and Grizzle also have the possibilty of playing at the college level in other sports. Grizzle is an all-area and all-region pitcher for the Rams and Beach is an excellent sprinter for the track team. Best of luck to all the RAMS seniors on their future aspirations.
