I have been given the names of the Raceland players who made the team but I will wait until it comes out in the paper. It is my understanding it will be out in tomorrows edition.

Can someone fill me in on who ADI is?

Ashland Daily Independent

Which is actually no longer the Ashland Daily Independent. It is now just The Independent. If i'm not mistaken.

link to large school all area in The Independent

when does the small school team come out?

The online link didn't list honorable mention but i believe Kevin Burns, Josh Cordle, Chris Hall, Aaron Erwin, Michael Walters, Preston Freeman, and Jesse Parsley made honorable mention from Ashland as well. A great showing of players by the tomcats..

I know i am going to be the complainer but here goes. Congradulations to all the large school guys that made it. To the Daily Indepedent that had to be the one of the worst decisions i have seen you make. Why not put them both in the paper. Is the small schools going to get a small corner in lets say Tuesdays paper? If you think i am aggrevated wait until the Russell folks start on you. Anyway in regards to the ones that were in the paper again congradulations. To the paper could you please just for once get it right and put them all in at the same time. Everyone would like to see all the guys on a paper that mostly everyone gets. (The Sunday paper). Sermon done, Merry Christmas to our BGP family and the support you all have given these fine boys and their coaches all year long.

According to the DI Rowan gets 5 while Boyd/Lawrence get 3 and Greenup 2. How in the world does a team that doesn't even compete in District play get more than the teams that do???? I'm all about kids getting recognized, but this seems a little off to me.

I gotta agree with you on this one. That was the first things that stood out to me.

I'm about 99% sure that the players are selected by the coach's votes. How many of the big schools in the area even played Rowan Co.?

I also thought this was voted on by the coaches??

From my understanding this is a voted on thing by the coaches.

Oldram I am nort sure but I would think that the small schools all area team will come out this coming weekend. Maybe someone that knows for sure can fill us in. At any rate, imo Russell and Raceland should domnate the small schoo, team.
