No way Eastern Ky. will have that many players on the team. When is the team picked?

I didn't say that they would be on the team, all I said was that these players were good enough to make the team. The ballots have been sent to the coaches and voting is being done. There is a selection committee of coaches who review film and recommendations of each player.

Can anyone give me the link to the Small school's All EKY team.

I would love to but it is not on The Independant web site, for some reason.

here is the large school

The game will rotate sites (stadiums) and coaches each year. It was a great experience for both coaches and players. I would like to see Coach McGlone, Hart, or Vanderhoof coach this year's team. However I have a feeling that several of our players could (or should) be playing in the Ky/Tenn. All-star game which would probably knock them out of the East/West game. I could easily see Clark and Wills from Russell on the Ky roster as well as Grizzle and Forrest from Raceland, McDavid from Ashland, Carter from Lawrence, and Tackett and Johnson from Johnson Central on the Ky all star team. It would give us more of a reason to travel down state or to Knoxville to watch this many boys play on the team. Usually we only get 1 or 2 players from this area on the team.

:thumb:Nice post!! It would be great to see these kids get recognized and a chance to showcase their talents. They have represented our area well and if chosen would be very deserving of the honor. There are some very talented football players in our area year after year that go unnoticed, it would be nice to see that trend change.

I agree except for the Johnson County players, I have seen all these players play and I think this group would represent eastern KY very nicely. Both as players and as young men. Just give them the chance.

Even though it is voted on by the coaches!!

I will believe that when I see it.....!

Yada Yada

Maybe the coaches need to pay more attention to players numbers during the game then...:thumb:
