  1. Where will next years game be played at? Should be a very emotional and high energy atmosphere, however both teams lose alot of key players. Raceland will have trouble replacing some of these players; Grizzle (3 yr. starter at QB) Forrest (4 yr. starter at LB) Mullins (leading receiver) Beach (Leads team in TD's) Rogers (3 yr. starter OL and DL) Caldwell ( 3 yr. starter at DE) Thompson (2 yr. starter at NG) Mckenzie ( 3 yr. starter at RB) and Stephens ( Starting DE and RB). It's not going to be easy to replace this years senior class.
  2. The T-Cats will be ready to play. I look for Matt Thomas to have another outstanding game. However, I think G.C. will play solid ball control offense and try to limit Ashland's T.O.P. A-town will make the most of their offensive possesions though. Ashland-24 Greenup-7
  3. This game is still several weeks away, but I agree it has the makings of great one! Senior Night at Ram Stadium, should be a great atmosphere for some hard hitting football. Both teams have excellent skill players, but I really think the Rams are more phsyical and better coached.
  4. Raceland has a couple of bulls up front in J.T. Forrest and Brad Rogers. Both are seniors who moved to the o-line after playing FB last season. J.T. is about 6" 225 lbs. and Brad is 6"2 245. Not the biggest guys in the world but as far as speed and strength go I wouldnt trade them for anybody. Also sophomre Robby Logan ( 6"3 240 ) is having a very solid year and has alot of potential.
  5. Russell by as many as they want. This is going to get ugly.
  6. How does this game not benefit Russell if they win? Raceland is a top 10 Class A team and possibly the best team in the area this year. Raceland has alot of young talent, so dont think for one second that next years Russell/Raceland matchup will not benefit the devils. It will be a BATTLE, both teams will benefit greatly from this game.
  7. The Raceland Rams are flying under the radar right now. I can really see this team making a run at the state championship. They are ligit.
  8. The Raceland Ram fans should definetly be mentioned. I would argue that they have the best fan support in Class 1A football.
  9. I look for the rams to bounce back after a scrappy win last week against Greenup. I feel like the Rams might have overlooked G.C.. However, there will be no overlooking of LCA. The Rams know this is going to be a BATTLE! With both teams running VERY similiar offenses this one could get very interesting. The Rams defense is much improved from last year and despite a "bad" game last week at G.C. the offense is still as high powered as ever. I look for the Rams "D" to play big this friday and put alot of pressure on the young QB from LCA. Im going to go with the Rams. Defense wins championships, but a little offense doesnt hurt either. RACELAND 30 LCA 13
  10. The Rams sing "THE SONG" after every win. They just have been waiting until they get inside the locker room to do it. It's a great tradition that has been going on at Raceland for a long time. Hopefully they will be singing it 15 times!
  11. A win is a win. The rams did not play good football tonight. They are capable of so much more. I felt that after the Rams got out to a 14-0 lead they let up and thought it was going to be easy. However, I think this win will be good for the Rams in the long run. A ugly win like this one will bring you back down to earth really fast. Rams learn from your mistakes and come to work monday. LCA is going to be a battle.
  12. No problem with the eye black. Just let the kids have a little fun.
  13. Game time is almost here. Just about 6 more hours until kickoff. This one has all the making of a great game. Big time rivalry, two former G.C. players and G.C.'s former head coach are all coming back to Greenup for the first time. I have to admit, that all three of them look alot better in the ORANGE then the green. Should be very intense and phsyical tonight in Lloyd. Enjoy the game and good luck to both teams. GO RAMS.
  14. HAHA now that is funny. Are you really being serious? So where were the "mighty musketeers" in the 3A AP poll that came out on tuesday? I think the Rams will be glad to prove you wrong this friday and then maybe you can remove those green tinted glasses.
  15. I have heard several rumors that G.C. will have some players suspended for the game friday. With or without the suspensions, I still see the Rams winning big.
  16. K-Clark and the boys bounce back and put it on the Lions. Russell 38 Boyd Co. 13
