The proposal was to increase the practice window from 15 days for 10 practices to 20 days. The current bylaw allows for 10 practices during a 15 school day window following your schools elimination from the basketball playoffs. The advantages would have been to allow teams to work around spring break schedules or bad weather. This year my school had to choose between practiceing one week take spring break week off and practice again or hope the two weeks following our spring break we had good weather with no tornados or storms. This is another example of the basketball coaches sticking it to football. Last year basketball got the seperation of football and basketball summer leagues pushed through, effectively killing 7-on-7 in June.

Highlands vs. Covington Catholic - Predictions
JD Dog replied to jbwill2's topic in KY Football (High School)
Highlands is the better team, much was writing about the Colonels before the season started possibility being the best team in northern KY. Now 4 games into the season I think the Bluebirds have separated themselves from the rest of the field in NKY. Bluebirds 35 Colonels 14 -
Manual vs St. Xavier predictions

This game goes late into the 4th Qtr with X pulling out a hard fought win. St. X 21 Manual 17 -
Matt is learning that varsity level has a different speed. He is starting to learn how to make a difference from the DE position not just rushing up field and hoping the play comes his way. Little undersized but his speed and tenacity makes up the size differential, look for by the end of the year Linton's name as sophomore of the year on the defensive side of the ball for the E-town area.

I don't believe Bardstown is that bad of team before they knew what was going on the score was 21 to 0 in the first 7 minutes. John just has so many weapons it is hard to stop them for a whole game. Speed speed and more speed that is what the Bulldogs bring to the table. The defense is playing outstanding football as well, which makes it even tougher for teams to defeat John. Bardstown seem not to want to be on the field after the first quarter, hope they turn things around. Good luck for the rest of the season.

JD Dog replied to Jim Schue's topic in KY Football (High School)
North is having a rough time finding its identity and playing Nelson County will not help them find it. Look for a game the first half, but the Cardinals should have the game well in hand by the 4th quarter. Nelson 28 North 7 -
