Commander 25 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Corbin wins easily. Corbin 49 Knott 7
Bubba Wilson Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Corbin 42 Knott Co 18. Corbin should get the opportuntity to play alot of players in the second half of this game. Hopefully the Hounds will come to play.
DADDY CAT Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Hounds will win this one in an ugly blowout.
WILDMAN Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 It could be whatever Corbin wants it to be. I hope Corbin uses this game to work on their passing game. Everyone knows the Hounds can run it but you have to be able to pass the ball at least 30% of the time to be a legit factor in a championship race. Too many teams are starting to put 10 and even all 11 guys in the box. With no passing game, we will be talking about a 30 point whippin given to the Hounds if they don't develop some sort of alternative weapon on O to keep d's honest and pull a few people out of the box.

I thought Corbin's passing game against South Laurel was very, very good. Freeman did a good job.
4chs Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I thought Corbin's passing game against South Laurel was very, very good. Freeman did a good job. Freeman played well and made some clutch throws, but I'm sure he would like to have back the throws on the two sure TD's that he missed on in the 1st half. I expect Corbin to open it up a little more as the season progresses and the coaching staff gains confidence in Freeman as a passing threat or teams will continue to dare the Hounds to throw the ball like South Laurel did.
WILDMAN Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I thought Corbin's passing game against South Laurel was very, very good. Freeman did a good job. I too was very impressed with Lance against South. I'd still rather him be able to get comfortable passing the ball though. He looked a little hesitant on a few plays. I think some pure passing downs should be worked into the scheme Friday. We seemingly only pass when we absolutely must. I think that given time and reps, Lance will be fine. I'd just rather see a game like this be when Corbin puts it in the air 20 times.
nomorenoles Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Uglier than my prom date. Hounds by a bunch. Coach Jewell is usually merciful or this score could be huge.
Bubba Wilson Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Traditionally Coach Jewell has not been one to run the score up on anyone. I do not see that changing anytime soon. Corbin needs to continue to improve if they hope to beat LCA and Mboro and others left on their schedule.
powerfootball Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Lance has the ability to throw down the ball down the field. I think a game where he could get alot of reps would help him gain confidence to fire his cannon later on this season. With just a little confidence he can be the gamebreaker as teams have to focus on stopping the Redhound ground attack. I think Corbin wins this game, but Knott Co. will be improved over last year.
