Corbin and Bell is a series of trends, right now, its Bell Co's turn to be on top, but they better not hang their hat on it. Jewell has beaten Bell before, and can do it again....

Just my 2 cents...but Mayfield would indeed spank Bell. T would def. put a running clock on Bell by the half. X lost to BG...so I feel like Bell Co. could hang with them. All theoretical though.

Myrtle Beach head Coach Mickey Wilson has Corbin KY ties. He has alot of family in Corbin and his father is a Corbin alum. Congrats.

Danville won't blow Corbin out. They defeated Garrard Co. by 8. Not exactly a state powerhouse.... Corbin is a stop away from being 2 and 1 just like Danville. This one is a toss up. Will be one of the better football games going on Friday night.

The Corbin/Bell matchup changes a little this year from what it used to be. In years past, it was normally the 3rd or so week on the schedule, depending on if Corbin or Bell played in a game prior to Corbin's Pigskin Classic. Moving it back to the 8th game means that BOTH teams should be playing their best football, but will also have to watch out for injuries, ect.

Where is Jeff Robbins currently coaching?

I know its early who will it be and why? I think they will go after Knox Central's Mills. He has alot of Bell Co. ties.

For those who watched both teams, who wins and why? Wasn't there, but on paper looks like ACS could make a case for the 2nd best in 4A.

Funny that we're having this field conditions conversation with Bell Co. yet again. A few weeks ago some Bell Fans were blasting me for bringing up their shady history on watered down fields, dating back to the infamous HHS vs Bell game on Log Mt.

New Cath is big, but IMO the running backs are better than the line is. They had more success running outside the night I saw them play. Defensively they are very solid. None of them were extremely fast, but all of them play the position and play it well. I hope New Cath wins b/c they beat the team I follow, but I felt like any team that could hang 61 points on Sam Harp's Admirals are a state championship team.

Did the Defense just stay on the bus in this one?

Nasty game for Corbin. Never recovered from that phantom interference call, but ended up not effecting the outcome (thankfully). Congrats Breds, good luck next week!

IMO, the 2 main ingredients to a successful program are X and O's and Jimmies and Joes. Private schools have a secret way of attracting both. When u get these 2 things, community support will come. After all,everyone wants to be part of a winning team!! The only way for publics to catch privates is to unlock the secrets as to how they do what they do coming up w talent year, and then hire coaches to groom that talent.
