It was not pretty but we will take it. Offense finally get's it rolling. The line blocked well and our running game was great. Good win boys.

Through a friend on Facebook, I heard Clay County had about 140 penalty yards and that Whitley hit a field goal either as time expired or in the final seconds.

 

I hate to say it, but looking at the schedule Clay County has left, there is a semi-decent chance they don't win a game the rest of the season. Now I'm not saying they will, but they've got a tough stretch to close out the season...at Knox Central, home v/s Bell County, at Russell County, at Rockcastle County and home v/s Breathitt County. Coach Roark will have his team ready each week and won't role over easily though.

That's funny that's the something the Leslie Co fans said about their loss to W-burg they all were saying the refs took the game from them and knowing that Ralph Woods and his crew was calling the game I would say they probably have a valid argument because Ralph and his crew are homers for the burg and always have been!

I have no interest in either team not a clay county fan, just went with a friend and that is how I saw it. Also the touchback on the fumble was a terrible call, the ball was down and the reviever just tried to reach it forward when it was knocked out. Bottom line though I don't have a bone in the fight but down the stretch a lot of calls and they all went against clay. They called clay for celebration to go up with roughly 1:45 left Whitley scores with 3 seconds left to go up refs finally flag it then waive it off, that was more questionable than anything to me, I can see how the fumble through the endzone was missed, but to waive that off after calling same thing on clay wasn't right in my opinion.

On a side note Boston Brian, I think that is his name, was an incredible back for Whitley he and the kicker are incredible weapons to have.

Not really, one key call at the right moment can decide a close game!

What do you think? I am a WC fan which game do you think I would be at. HT721 had valid observations. It has been a tough season. Just glad the coaches and boys got a win and can buidl on that.
