What you thought you had from their 7th grade years and what you fans had waited on was taken by a better team. Seems to me from a impartial observer that Simon Kenton has to many coaches talking at the same time. Kids seemed confused both games I watched this year. Also helps to play your best 5 players. Usually works out better for all involved. From where I sit if that had happened they would be playing tomorrow. But what does a old person like me know. Game has passed me by.

Been around the game for a long time. Worst fans in Kentucky. Mason County. Whiny, spoiled. The travel call was the right call. The video that has the best angle is easy to see it was a walk. Now give credit where its due. GRC is the 10th region champs.

Let me clarify what I am saying. First let me say I am not a Simon Kenton fan. I am not from that region either. I am a fan of all the teams in Kentucky. What I am saying is this. Clearly this was a political statement and even some of the coaches in the 8th region are clearly upset that this happened and have even stated that behind the scenes. Other coaches out in the state are laughing about this and have stated that this must be politics cause nobody is that dumb. Thats what I am saying. And with that I will exit the board. Someone needed to address this and I have. 8th region coaches shame on you. Shame.

Do you realize the 8th region coaches are the laughing stock of Kentucky for this. Not taking anything away from the Trimble County player, but politics in high school sports are ugly and not needed. The other region coaches are dumbfounded at this vote. When coaches dont like another coach and decide to take it out on one of his players they should step down. Or better yet, if they are that void of judgement over talent they need to step down. Like I stated to begin, the 8th region coaches are being made fun of by 90% of the other coaches. Karma is a hard pill to swallow. Grant County. Think about that. :thumb:

I am guessing the Grant County Head Coach figured out how to stop the 8th region coaches player of the year in the 8th region.

The race is a two horse race. All good to debate the regional players of the year, but there are only two thoroughbreds on this list.

Here are some questions to ask the Nelson County school powers to be. 1. Is this the first time Wood has been suspended? And if its not, why was he suspended before. 2. What did the bus cameras show? Was there really two separate incidents in this one? Otherwise did Walls choke Wood first? Then Wood after the initial separation Wood then struck Walls 2-4 times with his fist? 3. Cameras dont lie and neither will the records if you are smart enough to ask the hard questions.

Lots of truth here. Dont know all the people involved but the big stage is not for every player. Its hard at the top. Lots of elbow room at the top. Sometimes these stages are good for teams and players. Its shows the coaches who is ready for prime time and who is not. For the players, its shows them alot the same. It exposed their weaknesses as well as the mental state of players. For parents it exposes their mental state only as they usually melt down when their kid cant do what they want them too. Not what the kids can do, but what they want them to do may not be realistic. Usually overall a good thing for all. Learn and move on. Get better. Or quit.

From alot of people in that area that I have talked with the AD was very weak in this whole ordeal. Think about everything you have read on this thread alone and determine for yourself. Not saying he is all the blame but when the red flags started right after Wright got there it was his job to take care of those issues. He did not and that's his job. All the problems created after that is on him and his lack of control over the entire fiasco because he let it continue.

Hearing that the female assistant from Male has applied at all the open jobs in Jefferson Co. Was rumored to be the next coach at Fern Creek here in the city.

After looking at this list, this man should be banned to watching water polo not basketball. SMH.

My question is this? Does the parents at Holy Cross back the coach there? Whats the feelings behind the scene? Ill bet some have got to be fuming. Think of it this way, you send your kid to a private catholic school. $$$. Want them to get a good education and to be taught the right values and then this comes up? Would really like hear thoughts on this?
