It's getting closer to the season, what should we expect out of the 10th region this year?

I think there are at least 3 or 4 teams have a real legitimate shot to win the region. I think MC has to be up there because of the seniors, but GRC appears to have reloaded, CC will be tough, and Scott has a chance IMO. And you never now who's an injury or a breakout year away from being a totally different team.

Campbell lost a lot. I would say it's Mason, GRC and Scott in the mix to win the region.

I'm expecting Coach Cox to do his usual "great job" at Mason. Hopefully he has forgotten his "surprise 1-3-1" defense he implemented against Augusta couple years ago....as an assistant with the boys. Genius move...still today.

IMO, the girls from Mason County should be the favorites. Excited to see what this group can do in their last go around in blue and white. Stellar coaching through their younger years. Same guy also played part in the 2010 boys group that made a run to Final 4.

Look for Whitney O'mara to have a big year for the Lady Royals. Good luck to Coach Cox and the girls!

Unless one or more of Mason's starting five doesn't come back, they need to be 1 or 2 in the region. Can you say Senior Leadership? What do you know that would have a team that was 27-4 last year drop to 4th in the region?

Have to agree with Carpediem here. I think the top four teams are the correct teams but the order seems a little much. GRC is counting on transfers, Scott has experience. Campbell lost a few but have several good players back. Mason deverves the top ranking until beaten though. All seniors, playing together for years, final four two seasons ago. If Mason ends the season as number four in the region it would be shocking. Can any of the other three beat MC in the regions and head to state, yes, could happen. But preseason Mason is #1 or #2.

MC has 8 seniors on the roster and GRC has 3 transfers from what we have been told. IMO they are the top 2 teams. Montgomery lost one of the transfers to GRC so that hurt them. Here's my preseason top 5.

1. Mason County

2. GRC

3. Scott High

4. Campbell Co.

5. Bracken Co.

FWIW...Mason County has a very tough schedule so they very well could have more losses than last year heading into post season play.

Too early for me to release rankings (I'm in football mode), but I like 1-4. #5 intrigues me. Is Bracken here because you think they'll still be a legit team without Bailey, or are they "the best of the rest" after the Top group?

Best player for Clark County transferred back to Scott County I heard, if that is true I would say it is Mason's to lose. Outside those top 4 teams the region is not very good. I did see Clark Co this summer and they looked good. Igo makes them very good at the guard spot, and the district they are in is really bad

Must be just a rumor going around in Mason co. I don't know of any that has come in this year. The girl that was rumored to leave, you may be talking about Jasmine Flowers, That I have not heard either. GRC has Elizabeth Hardiman at 6'3 which will give other teams lots of problems.

As far as rankings I think it is a no brainier. Mason Co should be ranked#1 with all they have back and now seniors.

No rumors in Mason Co. The person who posted it was 8th region warrior.
