What kind of interest does this job draw? Any early names in the pot? Great career for Coach Woods. Unfortunate situation in Monticello.

I believe the incident was after an extended time of being provoked by Adair players. Looks like it started back in February.

So how does it work KHSAA wise when everyone is talking about them transferring literally just to play basketball at a new school? That not a huge red flag? What about Dohn Prep?

Coach Kirk has won 2 of the last 3 COY awards in the 10th. 2A State championship last season. I remember reading someone saying it the coaches have allowed it to be a “culture issue”. Go ask the players from the previous season how the felt/feel about the culture. This isn’t a coaching issue. There’s not a coach in the state would have allowed them to get away with the statements listed on this thread. Watch and see the “culture” be perfectly fine now they have been dismissed. Just a real shame for all parties involved. Coaches, players, and Reeds.

It didn’t work at Mason the first time. Didn’t work at Augusta. Didn’t work at Bracken. Didn’t work at Mason the second time. All the newspaper comments, twitter, and Facebook posts from last two to three seasons. The call in to KSR. The ejection from Harrison. The suspension from the practice debacle at Bracken. The ejection from Mason and ban from the Fieldhouse this year. The list goes on and on. No shot any of us know the clear cut facts 100%, but clearly there’s issues that need to be resolved.

2nd biggest question is why you are prying about it so much. You don’t know, we don’t know, let whatever it is be taken care of as it may. It’s none of our business. Only asking to try to stir the pot.

Not out of the ordinary. I think a lot of teams do this and throw them away if it doesn't work out. Usually someone not involved with the team.

Mason with wins over Lexington Catholic, Lyon County, Madison Central, and Woodford County. The Royals can definitely compete with GRC. While it's still GRC's to lose, implying a cake walk for them is not realistic.

This is what I would classify as a situational rivalry. If you know, you know. Actual rivalry? Never will be long term.

Call me a “traditionalist” or whatever you want but using “driving distance” as the only reason to take it to Holmes seems a little petty. Some have mentioned the 37th being top contender in the 10th for the last 10 years and winning X out of X amount of regions at the Fieldhouse. Sounds like it’s been pretty good to them. IMO… this is a we can’t have it so you can’t either opinion. That attitude seems to be taking over everywhere. Also feel the only chance anyone has to beat the red team from the 40th is in The Fieldhouse. The podcast listed previously also says “9th Region” multiple times. I’d think no one from the 10th will make the 9th Region Tournament. Brandon Salsman of Lexington Catholic, “Moving the 10th Region from the Fieldhouse is a travesty.”

The 2A covers those schools under 1000 enrollment that do not qualify for the “All A” events.

Just a bad idea from someone trying to cause a ruckus within the region. Can't convince me otherwise.

Not sure I have seen a team pressure the ball as hard as Mason Co. has for the most of the season. I think Mitchell and Henry took it to heart being left of the region preview. Royals are chugging away!

Here we go again. Draw for your fate. What matchups are we looking for and why? Draw is to take place at 9:30 this morning.

Cov Cath started 1-3 last year. Scott Co last year in one stretch went 1-4 in middle of season and won the 11th. Teams are much more than their record. Campbell & Frederick Douglass also struggled with Mason guards per what I saw on live streams. Just don’t think this one will be as easy as Card fans think.

IMO this game will be less than 10. Mason guards can play. They gave Scott Co. fits. Still think this one goes to GRC but really feel it will be closer than expected.

Mason travels to GRC tonight. Mason has surprised a little this season I would say. Both teams with at least a guy out. Who wins and why? Does GRC run away with it or does Mason keep it close with Morton out?

Couple thoughts... 1. Bracken has to worry about beating Augusta before worrying about Mason County. 2. Terrell Henry not listed in THE TOP 18 PLAYERS IN THE REGION (w/ honorable mentions) is FRAUDULENT!!

Either would be fantastic options. Who/how many interviewed?
