Retropop I agree, Marion has to win tonight and keep winning. But if I am a betting man I bet on Marion. Anderson is good, Simon Kenton will give them all they want, look at last year. I saw Marion play at Lex Cath over Christmas and told my buddy who was with me that they maybe the best high school team I have ever saw. Its gonna take a bad night for them to get beat and that upsets people when thats said and I understand. I would not want my team to have to play them and Ill leave it at that.

Anderson might make it to the final 4. Then you will see what happens. 30. And I like Anderson, lets be real. Marion would have to not show up and Anderson would have to be on fire to stay close. Look at what happened to Etown in the second half.....went from up 1 to almost down 30 in 13 minutes. Etown has at least 4 players that will play D1 ball........So dont get to excited.....

I also thought I was gonna have to suggest that Pulaski County, Southwestern and Somerset would have to merge to get a win in the 12th region tourney, but Somerset pulled the Pulaski County teams out tonight......

I meant that "as usual" the Bankers predictions fall far short of a 5 star prophet.

I think Simon Kenton is better than some thinks. I am not ready to give the crown to Anderson just yet.

Jim clearly you have not seen all the players in the state play this year. While I agree she maybe best at her position she in no wise the best player in the state. She has played in 14 regular season games as a senior and it really bothers me that there is even a debate on who is Miss Basketball, plus Epps is by far the best overall player hands down.

The record is what I mean. 3-19 is enough to get you looked at hard. I saw them earlier in the year and they looked like they were not that bad, which means something isnt right. McCreary is a different story, the whole community is about to explode in both football and basketball.

Not trying to start any rumors. Everyone in McCreary is talking about it.Like Cellking says, if the super was not there, Robert Jones and his sidekick would have already been fired. Two names for that job keep coming up, Toby Curry and the left handed legend Tim Stephens, both would be a huge upgrade. As far as Casey its a tough job and there is a some legit talent coming up there and hearing he could be gone. Garrard record warrants a close look.....

With the season winding down its shaping up to be a great regional tourney, BUT its also shaping up for some heat at the end of the year for a few coaches. 1. Robert Jones McCreary Central- while McCreary in times past have been in the hunt, Coach Jones has lost the team and the support of the community. Hearing some names already being talked about for the job. 2. Dennis Pardue Garrard County- 3-19 to this point has the natives restless in a county where they want their team back on top. 3. Darry G. Burkett- Casey County- Lots of talk that this job may also be open. Any others?

Anderson may not get out of their region either. Anderson is -30 points to Marion. Anyone who thinks different is drunk.

Ballard and Madison Central may have a shot in boys but not girls. They may not get out the region.

I guess that top 20 this week was the kiss of death....
