spindoc Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Here's the real McCoy. 1. Marion County 2. Anderson County 3. Ballard 4. Madison Central 5. Butler 6. Henderson County 7. Manual 8. Owensboro Catholic 9. Assumption 10. Mercy 11. Elizabethtown 12. Sacred Heart 13. Bowling Green 14. Ashland 15. Conner 16. Lincoln County 17. Allen County-Scottsville 18. Notre Dame 19. Mercer County 20. Monroe County
GC coach Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Monore should not be on there. They got drilled by Owensboro Catholic. I would replace them with Gallatin Co.
tcjkbt Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Ballard and Madison Central have a shot to win both boys and girls state championships.
Lawnboy13 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Monore should not be on there. They got drilled by Owensboro Catholic. I would replace them with Gallatin Co. Or maybe Newport Catholic!!!
GC coach Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 agreed I thought NCC was on the list already
passtheball Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Marion County is in a class all by themselves. Next level is Anderson County. The rest of the list is interchangeable. Lot's of parity this year in girls basketball.
Heartbreaker Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Ballard and Madison Central have a shot to win both boys and girls state championships. Ballard and Madison Central may have a shot in boys but not girls. They may not get out the region.

retropop Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Ballard and Madison Central may have a shot in boys but not girls. They may not get out the region. Excellent point, as the 7th region may well be the toughest in the state. Plus with the 6th and 7th regions playing in round one, the rest of the state has really gotten a break.
magicfan217 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Anderson may not get out of their region either. Anderson is -30 points to Marion. Anyone who thinks different is drunk. Only one team in the state looks like a "lock" to get out of their region, and that's Marion County. Im not sure anybody in the state can give them a game, but if anybody can no reason not to think Anderson has as good a shot as any.
Panther pride94 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 WOW!!! Can you really count out a Tim Mudd coached team in the 5th??? It's never a lock!!! Plus I'll go out there and say that the state champ will come out of th 5th the next (3) THREE YEARS!!! YES!!! YES!!! I went there.... Come on that's why they play the GAME!!!
inthaknw Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Panther you will get an opportunity to see where your team stands on Thursday as they travel to Marion Co. I will go out on a limb and say Marion by 20+. Coach Mudd is a great coach but Marion is too experienced and has Epps and Goodin-Rogers. In my opinion that will be too much for the young etown team to handle. This could be a preview of the regional finals .
passtheball Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Bullitt East defeats Butler 60-50 in first round the the LIT. This one surprised me because Butler has been on a roll. Assumption gets by Central 63-48, but the score was tied in the 4th Qtr before Assumption pulled away. Should be a good game tonight between Asumption and Sacred Heart. If Sacred Heart plays their game, I predict SHA comes away with a W.
