Nasty game for Corbin. Never recovered from that phantom interference call, but ended up not effecting the outcome (thankfully). Congrats Breds, good luck next week!

Corbin had a great season, they should be proud of all the accomplished. Although the sting of the loss tonight hurts now, it should motivate them in the weight room.

Have to say the officals for tonights game had no clue to what the heck was going on, illegal substitutions, dead ball penalties an allowing time to run of clock. Although the outcome of the game was never in doubt you hate to see nonsense like this.

Not sure where that crew was from, but they had a bad night and affected the flow of the game way too much, luckily on this night they did not affect the outcome. The 2 pass interference calls on 3rd down that led to the second and third TD's for the Breds were as bad of calls that you will see all year, shouldn't happen once you get to this round of the playoffs.

 

Newport Catholic dominated the game with their defense, keeping Corbin from sustaining anything on the ground and then batting down pass after pass at the line of scrimmage. I really thought that Corbin would have gotten the ball to Taylor a lot more in the first half; especially out of the wildcat formation, but maybe NCC'S defense prevented it.

 

A great season for a very young Corbin team that loses only 6 seniors and not one lineman from the entire roster, so the future looks good for the Hounds. Good luck to a very good NCC team that looks to be on a mission for the title this year.

Sad to see it come to an end but the hounds had a great season, after everyone was picking them to lose second or third round. Matthew Taylor and Saxon O'kuma had great careers as 3 year starters. It will be interesting to see how the hounds replace Taylor next season. Congrats to Newport on being dominate last night and winning with class.

Maybe his two cousins who play for Evangel Christian in Shreveport will move back to Corbin for Trey's senior year and Trent's final two seasons...........
