First let me say I have no first hand knowledge.

But Pikeville College is naming a new head football coach and all signs are pointing to Dudley Hilton.

Thoughts?

He has accepted the job per multiple people in Bell Co.

So what will Bell Co. do? Promote from within, or go for a knockout hire?

I take it Hilton has enough years in teaching to retire ...

Also hearing Paul Rains will be on staff...any truth to this>?

WOW...I never thought that would happen. No offense to Pikeville, but I would rather coach at Bell Co. I know his son will be graduating from high school this year but he can continue to have tremendous years there. I really don't think Dudley will stay at Pikeville very long. I wish nothing but luck to you Coach!

That's a bit of a shock. Best of luck to Coach Hilton though. His replacement is got some big shoes to fill.

No way. Doesn't he need one more win for the most wins all time?

He does just need one win but what high school wouldn't hire him after he leaves Pikeville?

I am hearing Coach Hilton is leaving and IMHO Coach Mills from Knox Central will be his replacement.

I really hope he can turn things around at Pikeville and start trying to recruit in all parts of Ohio (along with the entire state of Kentucky)

If this is true this is a tremendous hire for Pikeville and good move for Dudley. It seems like a perfect situation for him. Best luck to you coach at Pikeville, if it is true.

I heard that's where he was going today from another source in the mountains today as well.

Wayne has told several of us privately that he is very happy where he is and would have no interest in Bell County. I believe him although I do expect Bell to come after him hard.

I wonder if the new coach will want field turf at Bell Co.:thumb:
