RowdyRedRam Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Manual gives up big plays this season, something they hadn't done the last few years. I wouldn't be surprised if this game isn't terribly competitive for this reason.
THEGREENDANDY Posted September 20, 2008 Author Posted September 20, 2008 This game will be closer than expected. Manual 14 St.X 17
Orca1 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I see X blowing out Manual. I don't think that Manual is much better than Lex. Cath. and X has continued to practice while Manual couldn't practice all last week. I see the JCPS schools to be at a big disadvantage going into this week, especially if they play non JCPS schools.
CentreRocks Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 X by a lot. Manual is fortunate to have the wins they have. X is really good.
Rocket20 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 St. Xavier 41 - Manual 7....this is a powerful bunch of Tigers. I have been tremendously impressed with the way Matt Brutscher throws it downfield to an array of receivers. Duece Finch and Jeremiah Neal are a potent set of running backs that will be extremely difficult to contain as Brutscher has totally opened up the running game with his ability to throw it deep. No defense will be able to put 8-9 people in the box anymore.
TigerX Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I have yet to see X play, but it sounds as if Brutscher has really given the Tigers a more balanced attack. If so, this would definitely be moving away from the classic Mike Glaser style of offense. If the Tigers have the ability to have a strong passing attack, it makes them all the more dangerous. As for this game, I don't know much about Manual, but after reading other comments it sounds like they may not be as strong as last years squad. Either way with the way Xs offense is operating I look for them to put up a big number. What is Xs points earned vs. points allowed so far? It seems like it would be impressive.
Xtiger69 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Manual always gives St.X a tough game and should again this year. Tigers- 31 Rams- 14
letsplay2 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 St.X 49 - Crimson 10.....X will score early an often against Manual.Very potent Offense against a mediocre Defense...St. X is Scary good!!!
ram2003 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 X by a lot. Manual is fortunate to have the wins they have. X is really good. It's not fortune to play hard all 4 quarters and capitalize on others mistakes. But I agree that X is really good. Judging by the way X has been playing and the big play defensive factor for Manual, this COULD be Manual's worse loss to X in a while. But I hope that's not the case. GO CRIMSONS!!!
