As for this game, I don't know much about Manual, but after reading other comments it sounds like they may not be as strong as last years squad.

They are not as strong, however they do have maybe the best winning attitude I've ever seen at Manual. The way have performed when the chips are down is the primary reason they haven't lost.

 

If the game is close late, than I will feel great about Manual, but I strongly believe X is a much better team and don't know that they can keep it close until the end.

St X offense is better this year. Manual is down a bit.

 

Coach N will not beat St X or Trinity between now and when he stops coaching at Manual.

Coach N will never have 100+ freshmen show up for a season. Coach N will never have as many assistant coaches. Coach N will never have the support of an entire prep league to draw from. Coach N will never have the tremendous support from a community as large as X or T.

 

What he will have is

One of the only public school programs to stand toe to toe with the privates

A dedicated teams who fights for him

A current record of no loses to any school in Kentucky not named X, T, or Male in the last three years

A team that gives everything to be the best they can be

 

 

I really HATE negative opinions of coach Nichols that circulate through the private programs.

 

The Manual program has been something since Nichols has been there.

 

Oh and I forgot, he already has a win verse Trinity.

Manual has spark and fight, but that likely won't be enough to beat what may actually be the very best team this state has seen in sometime...

Manual win 3- very close games, Henderson County game cancel,this team would have been a problem for Manual. So Henderson County played Bullitt East at Bullitt East and wins Big!!! My pick St-X in a Big Way !!! Manual No Factor this year. I agree with ram2003 worse loss in years.

Define "fair share"? Manual teams have always had teams consisting either mostly, or a very large percentage of guys that never played the game of football in their lives as Freshmen. My freshmen year (1999-2000) I think there were maybe 3 or 4 guys who had played before.

 

If there are CSAA players that can get into Manual, the choice is not based on a quality education as much as the fact that they can be around girls all day. Understandable decision IMO.

What kind of a statement is this? Education is the primary driver. Parents who have spent money on their kids education in grade school are focused on education. Don't kid yourself, the decision on where a boy goes to high school is not made solely by the boy, the parents generally guide the decision.

 

Both Manual and X & T offer quality education. Manual's is 8,000 less per year. If you had the chance for the same product at less cost.........?

 

X has the resoruces this year to win. Manuals chance to win rests on missed opportunity by X. X will need to make a number of serious mistakes to loose this one.
