This is what scares me the most. The two areas Manual has been hurting on defense is rushing the passer and covering receivers.

 

Offensively I don't feel that Manual has enough power in the run game to threaten X, but I think they may prove a little more successful in the passing game.

X by a lot. Manual is fortunate to have the wins they have. X is really good.

 

Central was missing two key players when they played Manual.

You're laughing yourself into a brick wall there. The pass, pass, pass has been what's giving Manual the problems they've had this year. And St. X's lines and RB's will undoubtadly be FAR superior to Henderson's.

 

Manual is 3-0 against a higher quality of opponents than a 2-1 Henderson is.

 

So, FAIL.

I think that this Manual game will be the first true hard test of our defensive capability this season. The Crimsons' offensive balance between outstanding running and passing should be an excellent barometer for the Tigers' D.

Comparing some of the X defenses I have seen over the years I would say this D would rank somewhere in the middle of the pack talent wise. Two big games back to back. All questions will be answered.

Manual may keep it close in the 1st half, but X will wear Manual down and bust it wide open in the second half. ST X 42 Manual 7.

Larry I don't agree that Manual's QB will be the difference against St. X. tomorrow night. In two games last year he was 7-21 for 152 yards and in the playoff game he was 9-17 for 114 yds. Manual lost wide receivers Cooper and Cosby from last year's team. These two accounted for 10 of the 16 completions last year.

You maybe could have said that last year, but Brutscher is much stronger at QB this year. He has impressed me very much, and so has the offense. My only concern is I have not seen this team tested so there are unknown variables. Oh wait, I meant to say that when we play Trinity next week. :lol:
