I am sure someone will correct me - but it is my recollection that within the past few years Manual got a pretty fair share of CSAA kids who wanted to play for them. Don't know how you can say he did not benefit from that "feeder system."

 

X will win by bunches. They have the team to beat this year - and do not see it happening this week.

A trickling of players come to Manual from CSAA, probably 70+ players every year from CSAA go to X and T respectfully. The benefit is nowhere even close to comparing.

Henderson County does'nt pass anyway they run run run, this is not the young team of last year. I'm just saying, add 3-very close games to the menu, Henderson County would have been problems for Manual, has'nt everyone been! Oh' bye the way X-men, we run the ball too!!!:walk::confused:

This X team is good, but not as good as last years squad.

Time will tell, I think the O is better just by vertue of the balance. I know the running game is the same and as Finch heals it will only get better. The D may not be the same but having a really balnced O can help make the difference, just look at T.

I don't think there is all that much to this. I have heard Glaser say some less than respectful things about Manual in the past, and I know Nichols wants to beat X more than any other team, but I don't think this is anything more to it than that.

Have seen them both and this will NOT be close.

Coach N will never have 100+ freshmen show up for a season. Coach N will never have as many assistant coaches. Coach N will never have the support of an entire prep league to draw from. Coach N will never have the tremendous support from a community as large as X or T.

 

What he will have is

One of the only public school programs to stand toe to toe with the privates

A dedicated teams who fights for him

A current record of no loses to any school in Kentucky not named X, T, or Male in the last three years

A team that gives everything to be the best they can be

 

 

I really HATE negative opinions of coach Nichols that circulate through the private programs.

 

The Manual program has been something since Nichols has been there.

 

Oh and I forgot, he already has a win verse Trinity.

The win you speak of was one of the best games Manual had played but that was due to the very good players coach Nichols had on that squaed. If not for the many injuries that season it might have been the year for Manual. Ifs and buts.

Manual has spark and fight, but that likely won't be enough to beat what may actually be the very best team this state has seen in sometime...

Henderson's top offensive would not have been out for the Manual game. He went for 231 yards and 2 TD's against BE. He had problems with cramping in the first two games only playing about 2 1/2 quarters against North and only 2 quarters and one play against Daviess Co.

This game goes late into the 4th Qtr with X pulling out a hard fought win.
