They lost 7 on the defensive side and 5 on the offensive side of the ball. The replacements, seen plenty of playing time last year and for most part there should not be any drop off from last year’s performance. As a matter of fact this years team has more speed than any other past John team.

John has looked very impressive during practice the last couple of weeks the O-line is starting to gel together. This game is played at John which will mean Woodford has its hands full with the home crowd. With that being said John 35 Woodford 14.

John Hardin Matt Linton DE (SO) Landon Savoy RB (SO) Both have promising high school careers ahead of them.

1. St. X 2. Trinity 3. Henry Clay 4. Scott Co 5. Male 6. Lafayette 7. Fern Creek 8. Manual 9. Madison Central 10. North Hardin The bottom five is a toss-up along with about ten other teams.

I have heard Hoptown might have a strong showing this year. I pick Warren Central on what might be, they also return a lot of starters. Hope John Hardin will get to play Hoptown in the playoffs, best of luck.

1. Highlands- Until someone beats them they have to be #1 2. John Hardin- Know for having great skill position players they have a huge line this year to complement them. 3. CCH- Played a tuff schedule last year which will benefit them this year. 4. Letcher Co.- 5. Dixie- Have enough returning talent to make a run at the state championship. 6. Bowling Green- Need to replace a load of talent lost to graduation, but always seems to be there in the end. 7. Pulaski Co. 8. Christian Co. If healthy this year may make some noise in the west. 9. Woodford Co. Lost focus late last season will need to maintain drive all season. 10. Warren Central Yes, this was a young team last year with many returning starters.

Our coach has a weigh-in chart and requires that each player weigh in before and after practice and record how much weight was lost during the practice. If the player lost more than a certain % they are not allowed to practice again until 1) they regain the weight or 2) the reason for loss is determined. This system is used by many colleges to protect football players during the early practices. It has worked well for us and we've held a few players out of practice for a day or two.

I would like to put John Hardin at #1, but Highlands seems to be able to win the big games when needed. With that being said Highlands #1 John #2 and after that there seems to be about four or five teams with goods squads. Looking forward to the up coming season just not getting here fast enough.

Let's see it ..........the anticipation is killing me.

Like to see Public schools at least win five out of the six classes.... I do believe the two schools from L'ville has the inside track on the 6A Class.

I would like to think Hardin/Meade Co.Public Schools fare well against schools from L'ville in the last few years with John Hardin having some impressive wins in 05. Losting to St X on a missed two point conversion.

Kids want to play for winners and that is what Louisville elite football programs offer year in and year out, not just in 6A any more either. The schools from Louisville have tradition, facilities and great coaching to help maintain there winning ways. Lexington schools will need to improve there imagine as loosing to the L'ville schools when it counts. Until that is done on a constant bases Lexington school will stay in the state eyes as second to L'ville schools when it comes to football.
