Cobble commits to UK

Featured Replies

Louisville Central DT Mister Cobble commits to UK after attending camp. 1 down 4 to go. From what I here they could have as many as 4 D1 seniors off of that defense this year. Not to mention the MLB and Nose tackle who are only going to be juniors. I think that the biggest misconception about Cobble is that he is only 6'. I have seen him up close and he is every bit of six one and a half if not six two. Not sure of what the staff at UofL is looking for but UK seems to be putting in a lot of face time here in the Ville. I am both a Central and UofL fan and would have loved to of seen him in the red and black.

Being 6 foot has huge advantages as a DT. So it wouldn't matter as much if he was, as long as he is strong, quick, and good with his hands. Those are important.

Congrats................good for him and good for UK.....wish both all the best..................:thumb:

Mr. Cobble is a player...UK landed a really good one.

As a UK fan, I'm very glad to see this.

He's an excellent player! I am very high on him! I didn't realize that he was only around 6'0?? He sure plays bigger than that! LOL I am a bit concerned about his weight in the SEC. If you are going to be a DT in that leauge, you better be carrying 280-300 LBS.

I don't know why the staff at Louisville waits around to the last minute to recruit local kids that are big time "Difference Makers." Earl Heyman was really close to becoming a Wildcat 4 the same recruiting practices.....Congratulations to Mister Cobble, and the Louisville Central Yellowjackets.........:dancingpa

Cobble is the real deal with lots of up side Congratulations and Best of Luck.

Congrats UK!! I heard a radio interview a few months ago with his coach (Scroggins) and he was all but begging UofL to get into the picture, though he laughed when saying it. I took that to mean he would likely go to UofL when and if they offered. I obviously know nothing!

Maybe someone should ask Mr. Cobble how tall he is and this will end all this.

Great pickup. UL missed the boat here and his height is not really much of an issue.
