  1. The Osmond Brothers at Cincinnati Gardens. I was 8 or 9, and went with my parents and 4 older sisters. I remember my sisters going on and on about the concert, and me in awe of being in the place where the Royals played. The next one wasn't any better, I was about 12 and went to see the Brothers Johnson at Hara Arena with my oldest sister.
  2. That is precisely why I stated they could have called it on him multiple times. :thumb:
  3. The Alabama fans that I talked with after the game said all the holding calls were a direct result of the speed and quickness of UK's D-Line. They were very complimentary. As for the call on Julio Jones, I called it before the flag. They could have called offensive interference on him on just about every ball thrown to him. I'd say that is just his inexperience.
  4. I just got back from this one. Alabama has the most amazing setting for college football that I've ever seen. I can not imagine how they can't get any recruit that they want. I don't have the words to describe how awesome it is, all I can say is you HAVE to go to a game there sometime. They also have the most classy, educated football fans I have ever come across. Despite the loss, this was an unbelievable trip.
  5. I don't undersrtand this thinking. I think working on the things that you do against a quality opponent would far outweigh any other possible benefit. I also think that a confident team is more important than any possible element of suprise. I'm no coach, but that is my opinion.
  6. IMO, not very good. Defense struggled early on with Somerset's speed, but adjusted a bit as the scrimmage went on. The offense looked worse than the defense. Steven White looked good the few times he ran the ball. I think he's been nursing an injury. They were also playing without starting center Timmy Wampler. I'm wondering if NL's OC didn't want to show much to the opposing coaches that were present.
  7. Happy Birthday Jim. I thought of you last Monday, I played golf at Maywood. Hope all is well.
  8. Odyssey 2 ball is my favorite of all time. I've had several Ping and Scotty Cameron's, but I love my 2 ball.
  9. I have Sirius, and my channels are all intact. FWIW-I am a big fan of Sirius, and I've had both Sirius and XM.
  10. I'm from Cincinnati, and stand by my statement. I really don't understand where Louisville comes into this discussion. He is asking about Lexington vs/ Paducah, which, imo, is a no brainer. I don't disagree that Lexington has a small town feel, but have you ever been to Paducah?
  11. I believe the thread is about Lexington, not Louisville. IMO, Lexington vs/ Paducah is a no brainer. I think Lexington would be a GREAT city to live in, especially for a 27 year old bachelor. There is plenty to do, and being a college town, you'll find nice looking ladies are everywhere. Lexington is a great town if you know the sports to hit. I must say that I am really shocked at those who say there's not much to do in Lexington.
  12. What kind of team speed will SL have this season?
  13. We actually just got back in from Destin (actually Miramar Beach, which is east of Destin on old 98). We love it there. Stayed at a new place called Ariel Dunes, and it was awesome. Some of our favorite restaurants are Back Porch, Pompano Joes, Whales Tail, and McGuires Irish Pub. Hope you have a good time, imo the best beach in FL.
  14. I actually heard this a few days ago. A friend of my son's was in the drunk tank with him in BG. He said that Sparks was extremely beligerant towards the policemen.
  15. "Write it down", I have a link: http://www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/10728345
  16. No, I really can't even believe that anyone could even think this.
  17. The bolded is what stood out most to me. I was amazed at how much standing around, and loafing up and down the court that he did in the first half. I do think that Billy G. can get that out of him at UK. I was also shocked at the body Miller has developed in the past year. He looks SO much stronger than years past. He definately has a SEC body.
  18. Those courses you mentioned are nice courses, but honestly, will not be able to be mentioned in the same breath as the new Crooked Creek. The owner has VERY deep pockets, and wants to make it one of the premier courses in Kentucky. Some of the changes include, all newly sodded tee boxes and collars around the greens, several new tee boxes, all bunkers re-worked with drainage and PGA quality sand, new irrigation system, several new water hazards, several new bunkers, several new fountains and water falls, and most of all a new level of commitment to keeping the course in tip top shape. We also have a new proshop, lounge, restaurant, work out facility, lit tennis courts, indoor golf training facility with computerized video, and an unbelievable lit driving range. I've seen nothing like it anywhere, let alone in Southeast Kentucky. It is awesome!
  19. Yes. The only play on Mondays will be during outings. Also, no outings other than on Mondays.
  20. Crooked Creek is going to be amazing. There is no telling how much money has been poured into it. It is private, but you BGP'ers have an "in". Just let me know, and I can arrange a tee time for you. My Top 5 1. TPC Sawgrass - This is an unbelievable golf course 2. Valhalla - Majors and Ryder Cups- enough said 3. Ocean Course, Kiawah - brutal is an understatement 4. TPC Scottsdale - fun to play 5. Olde Stone - great course, but was hyped so much I was mildly disappointed.
  21. I'm with you, Rocket. I really enjoy Tirico's show, but instantly turn the channel when Stephen A. comes on.
