Death Valley is once again becoming one of the most feared places to play in the state, especiallcy on those cool nights as the fog rolls through the valley.

:thumb: give coach french and his staff some credit, they have the team believing it can win. a good young line,a nice looking defense,a couple a good backs and two proven qb,s. the district looks wide open a couple of big wins in the next few weeks and who knows?. i like the pats this week, south looks to have no defense, not able to stop anybodys run game, i'll take lincoln 35-14 keep it up pats, good luck this week.:thumb: :

This is a HUGE game in the district. South Laurel needs this win to regain the momentum they had after the Southwestern win. Lincoln is out to prove that they are a district title contender. This should be a great game and I believe will much closer than many are predicting. South will score some points but I expect Lincoln to do so as well unless the Cards really tighten up their run defense. I am picking SL in a close one as I think they desperately need this win to keep their playoff hopes alive. They have to win at least 3 games to have a shot at the playoffs, and if they lose to Lincoln, they have an uphill battle to get those 3 wins with GRC, Mad Ctrl, Whitley & Montgomery still remaining on the schedule. Noone thought the Cards could beat Southwestern and they did it. I will pick SL in a a very close contest. But if Lincoln can continue to use their solid backfield the way they have this season, win the turnover battle and turn the Cards over they can keep SL's offense off the field and pull this one out. This one is almost too close to call. If Lincoln wins this one, they will be 2-0 in district play and will be in a great position to make a run not only at the playoffs, but one of the top spots in the district.

I know that Lincoln is a good team, but I believe SL bounces back and wins this one. I believe that Bowling will have a better game than he did against NL, and it will be the difference.

Lincoln is doing all the right things so far. They are winning games they normally would have lost. Looks like some French mentality:confused: Larry French that is. They showed alot of heart by not giving up the Rock game, add in the fact that Lincoln is on a roll.

A big question here will be if Lincoln can contain the South Laurel passing attack. They haven't played anyone with the passing ability of South Laurel (more specifically, Ricky Bowling). A major benefit for Lincoln will be that they are the home team.

Lincoln Co. 35-21.

LC was close to winning a lot of their games last year. They got almost all their players back. Opposing teams better bring their "A" game if they plan on

beating the PATS.

LC will win by 3 scores.

I don`t see anyone in the district beating them this year.

Next year they should be better if French doesn`t lose any players.

i have to question sl's defense, they've given up a ton of pts. already. they haven't stopped any oppenet's ground game thus far,how will they contain lc's two rb's miller and calhoun, add to that thir o'line hasen't protected bowling much at all,i've seen lc's defense, they have a tight secondary, south will have to play a perfect game

I am going to go with Lincoln by at least two touchdowns. South Laurel has had a problem stopping the run this year. They are going to be facing to backs that are just as fast and as good as the Mercer County backs they faced earleir this year, IMO. Lincoln is going to have to contain Bowling and play great in the secondary for this to happen. Bowling lit Lincoln up last year, but he was playing behind a much better line than it looks like he is this year. But he is very dangerous whether he is sitting in the pocket or scrambling.
