Lincoln County - Mike Settles

When you guys get to Lincoln, you can try the ribeye sandwiches. I never had one of your hamburgers, but the ribeyes are hard to beat.

Why did they play the J.V? And what happened to he five starters? Injuries?

South Laurel returned a kickoff for a TD and recover on onside kick. That helped a lot. they are still a danger offensively. When you throw that much, you are going to put some points sooner or later.

This should be another great game between these two teams. Who wins and why?

South Laurel may have scored 77 points, but have they gotten any better at stopping the run this year? They have one the best high school quarterbacks I have ever watched in person. But last year that had a hard time stopping the run and it did matter how many they scored. Just curious, I have not seen them play this year.

Is the quarterback for Montgomery Co. the same kid from last year? If so, I will go with Montgomery. That kid is small but a competitor!!

What Bell County has that most teams do not have is a kicker who can keep teams backed way up. I would guess that Lincoln's average starting posession was their own 20. they had one posession that start inside Bell's 50 yard line due to a penalty. Bell's Kicker is will keep plenty of teams backed up!

Lincoln County's schedule will also be pretty difficult. The only chance to beat Mercer is to keep the offense off the field. Mercer's defense seems to good to let that happen. Mercer wins, probaly a similiar score to the first game.

Lincoln County Braxton Miller- Vistited Western, getting looks from other D1-AA schools. 5-11, 185 pounds. Has the body to add 20 more pounds of muscle and probaly gain speed. Trent Calhoun- Vistited Wester, getting looks from other d1-AA school. 6-0 180 pounds. Super Fast, also can add more wieght and add speed with it. Jake Elliot- Vistited Wofford, getting looks from D1-AA on down. Great nose for the football and can lay a lick when he gets there.

Great win for the Patriots. They did not score in the second half but held the ball for most of the half. Opening kickoff of the second half, Lincoln held the the ball the first 8 minutes of the quarter and the last 9 minutes of the 4th quarter to end the game. They did not score but they kept the ball out of Madison Centrals hands. Great Win!!! Now it is time to get ready for next week. Round 2 coming up.

Great win for the Patriots. They came out and ran the ball really well. The defense was very impressive. Miller and Calhoun with another impressive game. Keep it rolling!!!

This should be a great game. Both teams will be playing at another level for this game. It should be a great game to watch. To close to call. Madison Central, I am sure, have speed all over the field and throw the ball alot. Lincoln will keep running it. Can't wait until Friday night!!!!

I do not ever see a need to foreit a game. The best way to get more competitive is to play in competitive games.. I do not know the whole situation. I have never been in a position like this and hope I never am.

A great win for the Patriots. It was good to see them play against some adversity tonight. The turnovers just about lost the game for the Patriots but they showed some heart and finally played some football in the second half of a football game this year. Montgomery Counties qb #11 is a heck of a competitor. He ran the ball extremely hard and has a decent arm. Montgomery played a very hard fought game tonight. This game was some of the best hitting I have seen all year by both teams.
