  1. I don't know if South winning would be an upset. I like South's chances in Rupp. South Laurel 56 Hazard 50
  2. WHat have you heard on this situation from up your way?
  3. KC will be favored, but this is a dangerous game for the Panthers. It reminds me of the 2003 tourney @ Cawood. Cawood was one of the favorites... they opened up with Rockcastle County. Rock (like Cumberland this season) had some late season struggles, but that night they took down the Trojans in the opening round... on their home floor.
  4. It's my opinion there champ. MJ was/and is the best to ever play. But talent wise.... I would give the nod to Kobe. Rings have nothing to do with it. Kobe has more skill. AJG... you can calm down as well slugger!!!!!:sssh: People think that is blasphemy to say that a player might have more talent than Michael Jordan.
  5. Kobe Bryant's 81. He could go down as the greatest to ever play the game. IMO, He is already better than MJ.
  6. 3rd time's a charm.... Cordia 74 Hazard 68!!! Hurt goes for 32.... Taylor for 23.
  7. I hope UK. But something tells me either Tennessee (which I picked), or UAB (Hopson we'll stay a Blazer).
  8. Ease up a bit there champ. I simply posted some of the rumor mill that was going around.
  9. His myspace now says "UK Bound Boi" The other day it was "UK here I come" I don't know if this means anything or not, but I guess you can take it for what it's worth.
  10. To me, Hopson is the best. However, I think that Shelvin Mack has had the best season.
  11. http://www.ucumberlands.edu/athletics/live/ The Patriots are 4-2 on the season. You can listen to today's game vs. Notre Dame College at 3:00.
  12. I'll agree with an earlier post... Hopson and Miller, in some ways have the same skills and talents. Both have "possible" NBA careers ahead of them.
  13. Yes, you are correct. Darius is a great passer and a good defender. Hopson's "D" is a little better IMO. Regardless... it's a great honor for Hopson, and he is very deserving of it.
  14. I have seen both play. To me, I would take Hopson over Miller. Darius is a better shooter. Hopson is a better scorer and rebounder, and is a lot tougher. Hopson is mos def one of the top players in the nation.
  15. This kid made a mistake. Hopefully he has learned from it. I would love to see him in a UK uniform in the future, whenever that might be.
  16. I think that Somerset would win at home or a neutral site, but I've seen in person... It's hard to win in Sterns. MC 78 Somerset 69
  17. Here is the link from WYMT. Click on the Video on the right side. http://www.wkyt.com/wymtsportsovertime
  18. KHSAA says that South Laurel lost. Is that true ?
  19. With Bob Howard from Evarts being named as the principal of HCHS... does that mean that the Boys' B-Ball coaching job will in fact go to Mike Jones????
  20. They will go after somone with a state title under their belt. It doesn't have to be a KY state title.
  21. GIRLS 1. Pike Co. Central 2. Middlesboro 3. Clay County 4. Breathitt County 5. Johnson Central 6. South Laurel 7. Whitley County 8. Rockcastle County 9. Jackson County 10. Morgan County
  22. BOYS 1. JBS 2. Paintsville 3. Corbin 4. Shelby Valley 5. Hazard 6. Pineville 7. Cumberland 8. Knox Central 9. Somerset 10. South Laurel
  23. Good post and research. I can't fo the life of me put my finger on what's wrong with this team. I guess that it's just a stems from the coaching change and injuries. I hope that Gillispie is the right guy for the job. I just hope that he realizes that re-building doesn't have to be done. UK has won 20 plus games and made the NCAA for a while now. The "turnaround" as he is use to, is not needed.
