HDE Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 The top teams list in the 14th Region will include (not in order) Breathitt, Buckhorn, Estill, Hazard, Lee, Letcher, JBS, Knott and Perry. I need help from 14th Region fans on who they think should be included at No. 10.

The Equalizer Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I'd say Owsley with everyone back, but with the loss of Coach Parrett to North Laurel and currently without a coach who knows but they have played well and with Josh Reed, Adam McIntosh with a host of other who have Varsity experience they would have to be in the mix

I agree with this. Powell County usually comes up with something. Owsley County could be considered, but the Owls have just lost their head coach, and Jeremy Congleton, a 6'4 junior-to-be, transferred to Lee County. As far as the rest of the team, they graduated one starter from last year's team that was runner-up in the 56th District tournament.
daballer03 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Don't overlook the Wolves. They lost only 2 seniors. Several good players ( all of whom started at times) are returning. They've had a good summer. Jackson and Owsley lost their coaches. This will almost certainly have a negative impact on those teams.

HDE Posted July 8, 2007 Author Posted July 8, 2007 Owsley lost its coach too. Powell lost 11 seniors. That's a lot to overcome and a lesson why you don't keep 11 seniors. I'm leaning toward Cordia at this point.
The Equalizer Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Cordia did play everyone to death last year but to only come up short on several occasions. I agree Cordia may be a top ten team but Jackson and Owsley have a lot coming back.
