With this being the last year for the Harlan/Cawood rivalry how does everyone see this historic game turning out?

I see this being a really good game to watch, however, I believe Harlan will come out on top. It's at Harlan, so that helps and having Jones at quarterback is a plus and the other experienced players returning. From what I hear, Cawood's quarterback has never played QB before. GO DRAGONS!!

I hate to say this about Cawood's football program but it seems like they haven't been able to do hardly anything since I've been around high school football.

 

What's the deal there? Is Cawood another one of those schools that has some decent athletes but they decide not to play or would one say that the ever changing coaching schemes have an impact on the players? It does seem like every year or every other year they either have a new coach OR the coach from the year before totally changes his coaching philosphy?

 

For those of you at there from Trojan-land, pease don't take what I said the wrong way. I would love to see all of my mountain teams do great things on the field but the Trojans seem to never be able to piece things together and have a couple good season right in a row.

I'm going to miss this rivalry.

This is a big questionmark for both teams. New coach at Cawood, Lots of Positions to fill at Harlan. Emotions could be in play more than ever. Of course I'm hoping for a Dragon V in the last Rax Bowl, but lots of variables this year!

Like Mr. Quarterback said..this rivalry will be missed. You've gotta look at the positives for both teams. Harlan: solid coaching staff, good offense, good defense (traditionally), strong-talented senior class. Cawood: strong-physical, three good runningbacks, and the addition of Coach Perry doesn't hurt.

However, being a Harlan player, I predict the Dragons coming out on top by atleast 2 TD's.

My prediction on this game is it will be an emontionally charged atmosphere and each team will come out ready to go. If Cawood can get an early lead or stay close this one could be decided in the fourth quarter, but if Harlan gets out early to lead this one I see the Dragons being able to put this one in the win column and finish this fierce rivalry on a long winning streak.

BTW that is how I see the game at this point but after we see the the pre-season games I might be inclinded to change my mind. WOW I already sound like a canidate! I know this sounds funny coming from Cawood but I saw some of a practice the other day and they are loaded. They have tons of speed. I know that sounds ridiculous.
