Interesting to see how this plays out, the teams are #6 and #7 in the Bluegrasspreps 3A rankings. Will be fun to watch but I really don't look for either team to open things up very much, these teams could meet up again in the playoffs.

Coaches will not show much because of all the tapes that will be passed around,i hope that they let their Kid(COLE) catch a few passes,I do believe he is one of the better kids in state..hope we see all the players do well and have a great evening of football.....

I look at all the secrecy as lost opportunity. To hold back because you fear that someone is going to see your team is fear. All high school teams I know of exchange game film after each game. It is pretty hard to conceal you teams abilitys after game 1. So why not go all out at the scrimmages? Especially since it is the last scrimmage before regular seaon play starts...

I don't think fear has anything to do with it. Why not go all out in scrimmages? How about this--they don't mean anything. Scrimmages are to teach and to get your team ready for the regular season. You try out different players in different spots and work on things that need to be fine tuned. If your team is prepared and conditioned it doesn't take long at a scrimmage to accomplish what needs to be accomplished before opening the season. The bulk of the work is done on the practice field. In the case of Breathitt/Somerset there's a chance they could meet up again in the playoffs with a lot at stake. Sure there will be game films galore by then but why give the other team the chance to get live practice against your best plays? Better that they get a vanilla look and have to try and guess what the real thing is going to be like.

Could someone from Breathitt Co. give us here in Somerset a scrimmage summary tomorrow night. I don't think I can stay up long enough to here it from our guys.

Old Timer! Just kidding Jumper1, I would like to know as well about the score and stats. This should be interesting, could be a possible regional championship match!
