  1. Did you even watch the show??? WYMT mentioned Aaron Warren (Belfry), Bobby Burton (Belfry), Casey Allen (Breathitt Co.), Brad Durham (Rockcastle Co.), and John Johnson (Shelby Valley) as the top O-Linemen. That looks like 5 to me.
  2. That was last year's All-Mountain selections that I posted. Blake James is a heck of a player, I'll give you that... but the CJ also had Shawn Grim as an Honorable mention. I don't put a lot of stock in th CJ All-State Team "voted on by coaches". Coaches can by a little biased. John Johnson - Shelby Valley Brad Durham - Rock Aaron Warren - Belfry Bobby Burton - Belfry Casey Allen- Breathitt Derek Miracle - Bell Sam Schmidt - Sheldon Clark Those are a few of the best.
  3. Pikeville was the Class A "D". Lynn Camp was the Class A "O". Sheldon Clark was the Class 2A "O". Belfry was the Class 2A "D". I'm not for sure who the 3A's were. Point being...they picked units last year... and they recognized more teams. YMT mentioned some of the top O-linemen (Aaron Warren, Casey Allen, Bobby Burton, and Brad Durham). I have yet to see any posters put their top O-linemen individualluy. How was last year's show any better???
  4. Did you watch the show??? Slusher made the All-Defense team. And he was the number 7 or 8 play of the year.
  5. A lot of bashing on WYMT. You guys really don't appreciate a good thing. Name another TV station that puts as much time and effort into High School sports. Not shane on WYMT. Shame on ALL OF YOU that bashed a TV station for giving any thought about these kids. You guys stated that it was a lazy show... give me a break. On the list, there is like 50 plus kids from 43 teams that WYMT covers. WLEX, WTVQ, WKYT.... do any of them put together a show like this.... NO, because it's probably too hard!!! Hats off to WYMT!!!
  6. http://www.wkyt.com/wymtsportsovertime/ Here is the link!!!
  7. JBS is by NO means overated. The Crudsaders are a legit top 25 team. If anything KCC is under-rated.
  8. I can't recall WYMT picking teams to beat Breathitt week after week. If anything, WYMT usually picks Breathitt to win.
  9. I would love to see Grim vs. Clark vs. Miller (Rock).
  10. I don't think that it's an all mountain team like they usually do, or else he would be on there... alon with Brad Durham of ROCK.
  11. http://www.wkyt.com/wymtsportsovertime/headlines/4534041.html WYMT All-Halloween Team Ross "Purple People Eater" Deaton (Somerset) QB - We go the place known as the Briar Patch. That's is where you'll find a player that gobbles up opposing defenses like Pac-Man eats pellets. He is known as Ross " The Purple People-Eater" Deaton. On the season, Deaton has thrown for over 2600 yards and 32 touchdowns, to help the Somerset Briar Jumpers win six straight games and capture the number one seed in the playoffs. Dusty "Chainsaw" Miller (Rockcastle Co.) RB - Don't let his small stature fool you, because that's what he likes, right before he slices through people. Meet Dusty "The Chainsaw" Miller. Miller has made a habit of cutting into large piles of defenders and gashing through them on his way to the endzone. He has mastered that art so well, that, he has now run for 2047 yards and 22 touchdowns on the season. Shawn Grim "Reaper" (Johnson Central) RB - This guy is known for killing defenses in three states. It doesn't take him long, or than many tries to take down his victims. He's been known to do it on the first carry of the game. That's when he took down a whole family of Tomcats. Grim has been instrumental in the Golden Eagles perfect 10-0 season. He has rushed for 1900 yards and 28 scores. John "Invisible Man" Cole (Somerset) WR - I know the name doesn't sound scary, but ask the teams that have played the Briar Jumpers and get their opinions. Now you see him, now you don't. During the regular season, Cole has duped the opposition to the tune of 61 catches, 1430 yards and 23 touchdowns, leaving the defense with a puzzled look on their face. Chase "Hannibal" Hamblin (Williamsburg) WR - Over the years, Hamblin has made a habit of playing mind games with defensive backs. He usually leaves them screaming after he makes it the endzone with their egos. So far this season Hamblin has picked the brain of the defense for 58 catches, 1030 yards and 10 scores. Hunter "Grizzly" Adams (Middlesboro) All-Purpose - Adams has got a hunger for the ball. This season he has 27 receptions for 560 yards and 5 touchdowns. Defensively, the Grizzly has 6 picks, 2 of which he has returned to his domain for scores. Beckham "The Wrecking Machine" Herald (Breathitt Co.) All-Purpose - The Wrecking Machine has run for more than one- thousand yards, gained over 400 yards receiving, and picked off 8 passes on defense. All in all, Herald has amassed around 2,000 all-purpose yards while leading the Breathitt county Bobcats to an 8-2 record. Seth "The Black Cat" Moore (Prestonsburg) K - We all know the saying, it's bad luck when a black cats crosses your path. The same can be said when Seth Moore crosses the path of the opposition to do his kicking. On the season, Moore has booted 6 field goals. He has shown that he is deadly from 45 plus. Johnson Central "The Blob" Defense - The defense is known as the "The Blob". Josh Gourdouze, Nathan Dials, Coty Conley, Michael Tackett, Blake Johnson, Dennis Dillon and Trey Belhasen are just a few of the Golden Eagles that comprise the unit. Through 10 undefeated games "The Blob" has given up an average of only 1 score per game.

  14. Knox pulled off a big win over Clay. Belfry blew a 22 point lead. Another excitng night of football
  15. http://www.wkyt.com/wymtsportsovertime/headlines/3908846.html WYMT Mountain Top Ten: October 13, 2006 1. Johnson Central 2. Rockcastle Co. 3. Middlesboro 4. Bell Co. 5. Breathitt Co. 6. Sheldon Clark 7. Belfry 8. Southwestern 9. Harlan 10. Knox Central
  16. So you are expecting to have the Lexington Herald to go out and cover the entire state. I am afraid that they don't have enough employees to do that. The LHL has one of the largest sports sections around... if people want high school volleyball scores in there... maybe they should call them in. The LHL publishes their paper around 2:00 something in the morning... and they have a deadline.
  17. The scores probably don't get reproted to the paper from coaches. A newspaper that is the size of the LHL, covers the entire state... it's the job of the school/team to turn in the scores.
  18. http://www.wkyt.com/wymtsportsovertime/ They have already got the show on the web.
