What's the latest on Houston's eligibility at Cooper? I really hope the family decision to move him doesn't jeapordize his ability to play this year. Teenagers should not be dragged through this stuff!!!

This has to be the worst Game Preview I have ever seen. No substantial stats about either team or players. No info on common opponents, if there were any. Not much historical info about past state champions by these schools. They kept jumping around in their content. I guess this is why they are doing HS Sports in BG and not ESPN Sports Center - LOL!

I would move Verona up also, probably to #4 (maybe 3) and shift everyone below them down one. If you look at the voting, there is a big drop after #2 and another big drop after #7 - which I think is right on par with how the teams will finish up.

Wow, what a crazy story in Deadspin! 22 Feet will be out of business soon. I feel sorry for the kids who have been exposed by them and others. In all reality, the kids that have made it to College would have made it to college anyway by playing competitive High School and AAU ball.

Who is on the other side of the 5A bracket from CCH and SW?

Definitely some of the states best players! I am looking forward watching some of these matchups!!!

Nice win for the Wildcats. Elder is always a physical team. Sounds like Burries was in beast mode. Hopefully Newport can develop the supporting cast ...

What about big Jake Walter?

How did Kelch do?

Those are two tight halfs for Cooper against LaSalle without their football players. Did Houston play?

How did the rest of the CCH team look?

Well done tigers!!!! Keep the train rollin...

I was thinking (hoping) this game was at Beechwood and planned to attend. How is it that two NKY teams ranked number 1 in the state in their perspective classes, have to travel today for their playoff games? Another KHSAA blunder!

That's fantastic ... he is a beast. Quite the gene pool in that family!!!!

Very cool shirts! Good luck to the Pirates!

I realize I am a week or two late on this and maybe this is the wrong forum, but why does South Oldham have a BYE anyway? Shouldn't Cov Cath have had the BYE with the undefeated record compared to 1 loss by South Oldham? Is South Oldham a higher seed and therefore gets a home game against Cov Cath (if they both win this week)? I am pulling for South Oldham this week!

I am surprised we have not heard from: The Highlands contingent: Draud played at Vandy Any others? And Boone County: Dinn played at Wright State

WV is hands down a much better team than SK this year. WV has five solid starters and is 2 or 3 deep on the bench. SK has one solid player in Kelch and needs to fill some holes elsewhere. But they are a big school with a large pool of boys and hopefully can get some football players to the court. It will be fun to watch the matchup between Kelch and Miles!!!

SK by 4 TDs. I wish they would get rid of these first round games and prevent losing records from entering the playoffs. There is no reason for football playoffs to go into December and interfere with basketball in the Bluegrass state!!!

Way to Jake! I've enjoyed watching you the past couple of years!!

Congrats to St Henry! They earned the win and redeemed themselves after a tough loss earlier in the season to NDA.

When and where will the finals be played tonight?

Even if the game was played in a desert, the "Camels" would not be able to pull off an upset. Another running clock for the Colonels!

Based on the logic that level of recruitment "makes a kid better", I would think Walter would be Number 1 since he has the best scholarship offer to come out of the 9th for this senior class. Frankly, it doesn't matter to where these young men rank. They are all great players and are going to get a free education using their basketball skills! What is the name of your recruitment service?

Cats Paws did okay in the 10th when compared to other travesties. I would move Paris above Scott (without the Jake). And I agree with Brooks that EJ should be moved up one or two spots. I also predict that either Campbell or Mason will upset Clark at least once this year. Time will tell!
