The Pioneers are heavy favorites in this first round game. Jeffersontown lost to Oldham County 14-12 on Friday and have lost 6 of their past 7 games. #7 Simon Kenton (9-1) was off Friday and their most recent contest was a 56-38 loss to #5 Ryle on October 20. The Chargers offense is not as explosive as Campbell County (6-4) or Bryan Station (1-9). This should be another "mercy rule" contest.

Jeffersontown does have the only score by a Kentucky school against #1 Trinity. The touchdown was on the Rocks' third string. The 14-12 loss last night to Oldham County should provide all the insight needed by the Pioneer Nation.

Jtown has some good players they just don’t have near enough. They lost 40 players on their roster but dressed about 30 last night vs Oldham County.

It was raining heavy at times and the entire Jtown bench was under a 10x15 pop up tent.

I wish they would get rid of these first round games and prevent losing records from entering the playoffs.

 

There is no reason for football playoffs to go into December and interfere with basketball in the Bluegrass state!!!

I love that most teams get in playoffs. For some of the kids on J-Town's team this might be their only chance to ever see this part of Kentucky. Yes, they will lose and lose bad. I think J-Town has a good chance to move down in the next classification.

SK with a week off will be well rested and ready for the playoffs.
