Should be a fun tournament with lots of good teams and players. My expectation is with the masses that Cooper will play CCH for a trip to Rupp. For CCH to win out, they need their 7 foot Walter to take and make more than 3 shots per game (according to the stats I saw he took 5 shots in two district games); he passes up way too many. Also, if Walter can't guard McNeil on the perimeter, CCH has a couple underclassman that can and will also contribute on offense but Ruthsatz doesn't play them much. This was their downfall to NCC in last year's championship. For Cooper, they need a team effort with at least 3 players scoring in double digits -which they are very capable of as all their starters can contribute. If McNeil's 3's are falling along with the rest of their arsenal - look out. Their defensive speed in the back court can play with all those in region and most in the state. In their previous meeting, both teams played their hearts out with each having a key player on the IR. Should the championship come down to CCH and Cooper, this game may once again come down to whoever has the last possession.

I am sure everyone expects CCH to win except for the casual Dixie fan. Apparently a couple Dixie players broke some team rules and have been disciplined, to what point I am not sure, but it has definitely impacted the team chemistry as it was evident in the Lloyd game. Either way, I can guarantee a Colonel victory! ;-)

What happened between them during the season and where was it played? My pick and hope is Walton but I have never been to a game in Williamstown.

Some teams also get an extra night's rest in regions if they play quarter finals wed vs thurs. These young kids are resilient and their bodies recover quickly (unlike mine). Plus, part of the beauty of these tournaments is how well the coaches use their bench and manage substitutions.

Yeah, that's a crazy low score for an OT game! Less than 7 pts per qtr per team. Congrats to HC! I'm bummed for BW and was hoping to see Alcorn play in the regions.

Yea, that was an incredible block by the younger Maher. Not sure why he and Fleek don't get more PT. They need those two to contribute when AJ and Walter get in foul trouble. That was evident in a couple recent games.
