  1. I am liking Corbin in the rematch - home team and all ... Sounds like a crazy environment - wish I could be there to witness it!
  2. 7 CCH vs Cooper cancelled due to weather so no winner 5 SK vs Scott cancelled due to weather so no winner 3 Beechwood 2 bourbon 1 calvary TB Beechwood
  3. Wow, these are crazy numbers for both players in a 37 minute game!
  4. Joyce is scrappy and physical which is invaluable in these close games!
  5. Winton Woods wanted it more; they played well, have some great athletes, and their shots were falling. It came down to few key elements in Q4: 1) Free throws - WW made theirs and CCH didn't 2) CCH not handling the pressure and turning over the ball 3) Poor clock management by CCH 4) Poor shot selection by CCH - (ie. taking and missing 3s' twice while only using 10 ticks on the clock with a 7 point lead) Yet another game where CCH was leading by 5+ with 5 minutes left and couldn't close ...
  6. Great weekend for KY hoops. I will go with Scott County over BS. And take both CCH and Trinity avenging losses in the rematches.
  7. I too thought this would be a bigger margin. Conner was scrappy and didn't roll over. It was closer (within 13) until midway through the 3rd when CCH pulled away. CCH did a good job getting 8 players quality minutes and 10 players got into the scoring column.
  8. Not sure Alabama played a Power 5 schedule either! Prior to last night's bowl game, The Tide only played two teams that finished in the top 20 this year - LSU and Auburn - and they lost one of them. UGA played 3 top 20 teams (splitting with Auburn and beating ND). Should be a great game and either team can win ... The great thing is that the SEC wins either way!!!
  9. Didnt Fern Creek just beat Trinity? I think this should make FC number 1. What am I missing?
  10. Another big game for Frederick ...and lets not forget Ruthsatz's game winner!!! What is CCH going to do to manage the turnovers? They were up 21 in Q2.
  11. This was a nice win for the Jags! And a good time to lose for CCH. They are a good team now and will be a great team once they get all their talent actively contributing to the offense. These two teams will square off two more times this season and I fully expect CCH to get at least one W in the rematches.
  12. Great wins this past week for FC! They have incredible speed, shoot the ball well, and pass the ball well ...
  13. I am not sure we can say which player's stats were better last night but it is obvious which team plays as a team: FREDERICK - 29 points on 42% shooting 8 for 19 overall (the entire rest of the team took 23 shots combined) 2 for 9 beyond the arc (22%) 9 for 11 free throws 7 rebounds 2 turnovers 1 assist 32 minutes played Team Loss KUNKEL - 23 points on 73% shooting 8 for 11 (the rest of the team took 26 shots combined) 2 for 3 beyond the arc (66%) 5 for 7 free throws 5 rebounds 4 turnovers 1 assist 28:45 played Team Win
  14. You hit the nail on the head! This has been consistent in all of CCH's close games. Nice win for the Jags!!!
  15. I agree with your comments. IMO, they depend too much on the guard play and arent developing the other players into confident scorers. They need to play more team ball! When its crunch time, the two guards seem to be the only ones who take shots. This is too easy for good defenses to key on ...
  16. Houston is still not playing for cooper. Whats the latest on his appeal with KHSAA?
  17. Congrats to Nick for carrying on the family tradition of collegiate athletic offers ... Bellarmine is playing some good ball these days!!
