Creek played very well . Their guards are tough to handle and play very heady. It seems FC's last 10 baskets were all layups. I firmly believe T will improve considerably as the season goes on, more so than in recent years.

Most impressive thing for me was FC’s tenacity on defense. It started the second the game started and didn’t let up one bit until the final horn sounded. That’s what won them the game.

 

Trinity didn’t shoot well tonight. A lot of that was due to Creek’s defense, but the Rocks missed several wide open jumpers that they didn’t miss the rest of the tournament.

 

Both of these teams will be even better by the post season, that’s oretty crazy to think about after seeing both all week.

Really nice week for the Tigers.

Scrubb in foul trouble in 1st half and never seemed to get into game and that hurt Trinity.

Great game and atmosphere. Trinity used up all of their jumpers against Cooper so it evened out. I personally still believe Trinity is the better team but if they played 10 times I think it’d be 6-4.

As a Trinity fan, I hope you're right about the 6-4 record. I feel that Trinity's best days are ahead of them. They have only two seniors on the team (one starts) so they are learning to play together. To me, their offense is not where it needs to be right now. I think that will improve. They certainly do not have the quickness of Fern Creek,or the experience.

All the top teams, can shoot, rebound and score at all 3 levels. The thing that separates Fern Creek from everybody else is their team speed and their relentless "D". You can't coach those things or improve them over the course of the year, you either have them or not, and they have them in abundance on this team. They are a good group of seniors, but they also can rest them and get the same dynamics with the bench. FC coach is using his younger players nicely as the season unfolds and will only make them that much tougher as we come to the end. And I will say it again, they have the best point guard, I think, in the state in Wales. He can control a game with the best of them. Samford got a steal getting him in the stable early.
