9.Zach Larimore Oldham County Sr. 6-3 F Another solid player in a long line of Colonels.

10. Dayveion McKnight Collins Soph. 5-10 G Strong playmaker will have to carry more of scoring load

3 players from WV in the top 7 and AC is ranked #1??? Maybe a couple guys from WV/AC are overvalued/undervalued on this list??? How else can you explain the rankings??? Can't wait for this matchup, hopefully we'll get to see these 2 play in the regular season and post season. Based on last years 8th region threads I thought Spencer County would be way higher.

I had heard that Pittman and Gritton (no particular order) were 11 and 12. But I agree. Experience and upperclassmen should have won out.

Couple of names to watch during the year is Feltner and Fort from Collins.

Listed McNight and Collins 4th. Should be #2 in my book.

2 of the 3 of AC, MCL and Simon Kenton will be playing regional finals or at least one of these 3 will be going to Rupp.

What is sad is the downfall of Shelby Co. Basketball. TJ Robinson should be one heck of a player in 8th.

I think a healthy Feltner and Fort at Collins are as good as many of the players listed in the top 10. They were both injured last year and probably didn't end up getting the recognition they deserve.

I am trying to understand your reasoning for SK over Walton? Walton beat SK in first round of districts last year. SK lost Hawkins and Sargent, WV lost 2 role players and gains one of the top 3 point guards in the region in Stanley. What am I missing?

Doesn't matter who they lose or who they gain these games are always close. Great rivalry.

No doubt these games will be close but he seems to think that SK is clear cut favorite between the 2 and I am just not seeing it. Of course no one has seen this WV team with addition of Stanley so who knows how it turns out but on paper they are solid.

SK could be very solid.

WV should be better than SK. Based on what we know about these teams now and how they ended last year, WV has to be the team to beat in the 32nd. SK is very talented and may very well win it, but WV was better last year and added who I believe is the best PG in the region. Kind of hard to say they shouldn't be one of the favorites in the region and the favorite in the 32nd.

I'll be curious to see how much Grant County has improved from last year. They lose Tuggle and Adkins, but return a lot of young athleticism and could probably cause some noise in the 32nd tourney by years end.

For SK will be interesting to see how the roster shapes up. I would love to see Shearer, Murray, Hayden join the team after football season.

I agree, the number 1 seed will be huge in the 32nd this year. The 2/3 matchup in the district tournament will be a great game because Grant/SK/WV all have capability of knocking eachother off. That #1 seed will be very valuable.

We will find out before 2018 rings in about Walton-Verona.

They host Dixie and Anderson and travel to Gallatin and Oldham.

That’s before they play in the KOB and the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic.

Personally, I think they and Anderson are the teams to beat.

It's Walton Verona's year, folks. Miles will be dominant and the team has all the pieces necessary to score and defend.

I think we will be watching WV at Rupp come spring time.
