  1. Could be a blowout for Belfry, but I would not bet on it. The 2 linebackers at Central are very good and are surrounded by solid role players (with nice speed). I expect a knock-down-drag-out-hard-hitting-sit-back-and-enjoy low scoring game. (Like it is usually when these 2 get together)
  2. Looks like Ads will be playing CAL ( up 41 -24 on Mayfield late)
  3. It really hasn't been that long since Jefferson County finally allowed its public schools to play in other classes rather than making them all play in the largest class. I really liked the day when we had at-large 4a football. I think Greenup may have been the 1st school to represent at- large, but I can still remember strong teams at Boyd, Boone, and especially Henderson as well as Owensboro, Franklin County, Shelby County and Henry Clay during that time.
  4. I saw shelby vs Garrard in week 1. Im sure Shelby has improved immensely on defense. I think Garrard ran for 400+ playing smash mouth out of the wishbone. I also remember 2 int throw by Shelby in that game. 1 int set up a short field for Garrard late and 1 was on the final play for Shelby leading to victory formation for Garrard to close out the game. Both teams struggled to stop the other. Garrard power vs Shelby speed if I recollect until the int. If JH is strong up front, looks to me like they should be able to move the ball via the run game. Has the makings of a possible shootout.
  5. Any final stat numbers
  6. Central has had 2 scores called back havent they?
  7. Cant get to caught up with final scores sometimes. Ex Lex Cath-38 Boyle -7. Lex Cath-63 Garrard-31. Games can be closer or not closer than final scores. OR close to being running clocks or not. People that just look at scores miss the big picture quite often (By the way Boyle and Garrard both had 2 turnovers that led directly to points in their game vs Lex Cath). Still unless you saw both games, you tend to not truly know what went on in games played.
  8. No, just clarifying it was not a running clock
  9. Score was 17 to 14 with 3 min left in 1st half with Garrard in possession of ball around the Boyle 30.
  10. Based on the thread polls of the 4 games in this region, this is the closest. Either people are just hoping for a Central loss or this will be the better game of the 4 played tonight..
  11. Boyle did not put a running clock on Garrard this year. You must be thinking of last year.
  12. 4 straight fb give on option plays gets 33 yds and a TD. Whitley 21 to 7 early second qtr
  13. 14 to 7 Whitley after 1st qtr. Whitley with ball after recovering fumble
  14. No brainer here: wife has relatives in Lawrenceburg.. Harp has family in Frankfort.. Friends with Mark..win-win situation..End of story
  15. Cov Cath was an extremely good team during the Lynn Ray era.
  16. Trinity is obviously in a different league.....and even the computer understands that
  17. Danny Kirby-Mayfield, Donnie Redd- Danville, Marty Moore FTH, Victor Hyland Clay Co, Michael Bush-Male, Brohm-Trinity, Al Baker-Trigg Co, Honaker (MLB)- Pikeville, Chester Ford-Danville, Jacob Tamme-Boyle, Jeff Duggins-Boyle, Charlie Batch-Steel Valley, Menetrey (RB)- Beechwood, Brandon Berger- Beechwood,
  18. Imagine what this would look like if they hadn't gone 1-9 vs Danville from 1987-2006
  19. Has Foley ever coached HS kids as asst or in any other sport?
  20. Could add to this if you wanted 1998-2006 played in 7 semis, 6 title games, won 3 titles. Decent stint in 9 seasons
  21. Are they planning on hiring a coach this year?
